Hey gang, hope everyone is having a pleasant day!

Good job, MD, and you're gonna love AP!

MM, thanks for the scoring link, the info there was very useful. I did quite a bit of experimenting this weekend with my recent Alliance victory game, as I was determined to break the 20,000 mark, I now see a couple of things I could have done differently.

I think I'll probably stay at this level until I've gotten my 10th game in the books, by then I should have the cranking order properly worked out. I was pretty close in this past game, I think, particularly with the building of nothing but AMMs at every system in the end game, what a nice cheap option for military rating.

Greldon's Maso guide, along with MC's and Theoden's, have been a big help, all praises due, brothers! I had hoped to break the top 500 with this last submission, bet on that occurring shortly.

Thank you, Terl. Just what I needed.

No problem. Enjoy it; AP adds a lot of fun to the game. As I play on smaller maps I found it to be quite crowded.

Very useful indeed! I picked up a lot from these. Also worth checking out are the Succession Games run by Bam-Bam of RB. Some great info in those for all levels of play - seeing how other players approach things differently is great. Check this thread out for links to the blow-by-blow game reports: http://www.galciv.com/forum.asp?id=146571&BID=GF&page=1#160313 Link

I'm hoping to put together a blow-by-blow guide for a no-military maso alliance 75 minute game sometime this week. I'll post it in the SH when done.

Another good link, MM, can't believe I've never noticed that on CivFanatics, much time as I've spent a'lurkin' there.

I'll also be looking forward to reading your cranking guide, sounds like good stuff!

Does she "have a mission for you"? If so, I am sure it is not as glorious as saving the world

Well, it was almost an hour from Loth's "lurk lurk lurk" that you posted. I had a bunch of stuff earlier (rewrote Ballroom Blitz etc) but work is work and they made me work today... Others have been busy too...

Luckily my day is over here, so home I go....Yay!!!!

She said "something is definitely mission," but I'm not sure exactly what she meant.

Now only 18 places behind Greldon Shame about the 874,000 points I need to move those 18 places

#8071  by Citizen Major Dallas - 4/13/2004 5:36:54 PM

Go, MagMan, go!

(And it's also an appropriate response to XgE's offer to explain why we talk the most--very simply, we have the most to talk about! )

Guardian's Blitz

Are you ready, MC?
Aha,Greldon? Yeah! Mag? OK
Alright, Guardians, let's go!
Oh it's been getting so fun
Tracking down the Yor worlds one by one, aha
Oh my trigger finger's getting itchy
I want to wipe out the stinking Yor
Oh, I see Lothmorg all in black
As a matter of fact his eyes are as red as the sun
And a pirate in the corner is counting our posts
Cause he thinks he's the post-stealing one
Oh, yeah, it fired off lightning, all the Yors they were frightened
And the beams started firing, and the shells began raining
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
And Theoden at the back said
Everyone attack and it turned into a Guardian blitz
And the Yor in the corner said
Run! I wanna warn ya, it'll turn into a Guardian blitz
Alpha Strike, Alpha strike, Guardian blitz
(You all know the tune.... )

Just in case late comers don't read the whole thread. I thought this one came out fairly good.
