OK, then I can put my sword away |
|
Hmmm, a sword wielding pirate taking on an anti-matter disruptor wielding Guardian. That would have made for an interesting (but very short) battle.
P.S. Good catch Attila - I thought our swash-buckler had done it again for a moment there.

anti-matter disruptor wielding Guardian. |

Those weapons were prohibited according with the Yor-Guardian agreement signed last week!!!!

Attila if you play in huge or larger maps you have more time to develop your economy and to extend your research. |
|
You can do so on smaller maps if you go from rare to abundant. Just need good relations with the AI players.

Er, any Guardians here seen an agreement made with the Yor lately? No. Didn't think so.
Any Yor around that have seen it? What? No Yor left to answer because they've all been turned into space dust!
Sorry Renegade - you're out of luck there. BOOM!!!

I'm sure it would have been proclaimed by the Emperor, and probably posted either on the website or recorded in the Journal...

I'm outta here! Later all...

Heyy MM, question for you, heck, for anyone with an opinion on it:
In the above situation, with the 2 PQ 20s in the Sol system, and knowing that I won't colonize any more than 4 planets, wouldn't it be better to settle the other PQ20 first, thus cutting my ship building time down even further? I'm in the center of the map, and right in the midst of a large cluster, so other targets are close at hand.
I've got a couple of web updates to make, so won't be playing this map right away, any advice would be welcome.

I'd send my existing col ship off as normal, looking for other yellows, then on the first col ship built from Earth load up half the population and immediately take the other PQ20 - giving you 2 nice planets with a good starting pop (should be about 600 mill on each). Maximises pop growth and economy that way.

I've seen this debated both ways. Bam Bam was advocating colonizing the second system in Sol right away over in the shadow thread unless you know that there is a juicy yellow that could be taken if you don't go to it on turn 1. I tried it that way the last couple of times and it's not bad. Probably comes down to map layout and play style.
On the down side, you never get a colonization event on the first planet, so if you wanted a chance at a PQ40+ event, save Sol for later...

Aw, heck! Sorry Mag - no offense! Chalk it up to "There's more than one way to Greldonize a Yor".

Congrats Attila! Welcome to the top 200

Thanks GH did not notice myself. I have been paying attention to shield color. Would notice that. Want something other one of the yellow variants. I will let you know when I get a cooler color though. Your doing a wonderful job GH, you know more about the players then the players |

Thanks ED for the kind words, but in this case, credit must go to Attila. He noticed first.
