Had to drop in and BOOM!

Dropped a 60K bomb and moved up into the Top 300.

Followed MM maso guide almost to a "T". Had a few alterations and I just couldn't stand no defense so I went 100% military in the middle of the game for 3 turns and got an Axe defending each system.

Huge/Tight/Uncommon
Populists (+20 Morale/Diplo)
Took +60 Diplo, +5 PQ and +20 Social picks.

I followed the guide pretty well. I got beat to most Wonders and TG's but I did get GSE. My influence was hurting and I missed out on all those Wonders and TG's but it didn't seem to matter. Also didn't get to invade one system. Kept gifting techs and by 88 or so I had a HUGE tech lead and making 200-300 per turn on 50% taxes/100% spending and still had 100% morale on my 5 planets.

It really does work guys! I'll have to see if I can do it again or if I got lucky.

Dropped back to crippling to get use to new expansion. Everything went good and it gave me my highest score ever.

So many races including minors. Takes 3 minutes just check there techs.

Anyway Goodnight, I'll get the rest of my Yor quota tomorrow.

I have posted a detailed game in it. It could maybe help you. One point that isn't clearly stated, is that I don't split spending and use short building queue. I build everything that is maintenance free, or improve morale (but I do this selectively)

If you have any question about the game I have posted, it is better to use the thread in which it is.

Since this was my first full game at Maso I should walk away happy that I a) survived to tell about it, b) won, and c) used it to climb into the top 250 in the Metaverse (

). And I know this just colors me as a "glass is half empty" kind of guy, but dag-blast-it, 26mpts!
