A-ha. Normal programming seems to have been resumed. We have a full complement again, post ANZAC, and are rapidly closing in on 7.5 million 
The next Metaverse review is going to be a full one. In addition to the ANZAC party this weekend, it appears that the long lost emperor of FOTR has returned with an appetite for playing AP. Could this signal the start of a path to the return to former glories for the fellowship?

To much evil getting around in the Guardians, LW, you Greldon and myself will have to strive to get some of these guys back to the good side  Looks like Loths slave factories are significantly swaying there alignment the wrong way!

I should have been 1ss or 2nd at least if only i would have more time to play! I am down to 2-3(if i am VERY lucky) a week, and also i know that i can do 60K maso, if only i change to Large maps, can't be bothered, motgh just try to get 60K on madium, has anybody done it?
My aim is to get to TOP100, before 10,000 post! thats something impossible! You know.
Also something just noticed that Special Forces are down to 10, i remember when they were way in front of us, and it seemed so impossible to bit them!
Wnat to say, Good propaganda Guardians, that you called in so many good players, and on behalf of those who joined want to say, that we are thankful for everything we've learned in this game is because of you guys, on TOP!
What else i've noticed is that closest empire to us is 3.5 million behind and furthering with each week, We are TOO powerful to everyone else. Fisrt of all i just want to say that i don't want to be selfish of any kind, we should put in some restrictions to our Empire.
I suggest to keep open this Empire to other 3 members, so it would be 33 Guardians,only. And then close it, always keeping a 33 members rule, Why? 1st, it would give a chance to other Empires to recruit more thus, maybe increasing their chances to get closer;
And 2nd it would keep us motivating to submit more games than anyone else! To keep our 1st place!
What do others think?

Wow, do I have mixed feelings on this! If GG weren't open and active, there are a couple of other empires I was considering. As I mentioned in another thread, one of them is Star Fleet. Would I have entered an empire that just went nowhere with its leader in retirement, or would the empire have stayed active because I showed them that they could recruit? Would I still be playing the game today? I know this, being a Guardian has added enough to my enjoyment that I have stayed with this game farther than is my norm.
So, would closing our membership drive players into other empires making them more competitive, or would it drive players away from the empires all together?
BTW, the things that swung my decision to the Guardians were the Raven's Claw thread and the active membership, and the newness of the empire. It looked like a group of people having a lot of fun. It also looked like the members wouldn't look down on me or be too busy to answer "newbie" questions. Right on all counts!
I would like to know why others decided to join us. Maybe one of the Guardian Knights could start a poll in the halls? Or share your thought here if you like.

GH, I joined for all the same reasons that you listed--although Guardians were all the way up to #2 when I made my decision, and had already taken the #1 spot by the time my 'membership' became official. I love the interaction on the forums, the camraderie, the humor, the helpfulness, the lack of condescension. Even coming in as a total newbie, I was treated graciously and generously by our veteran members who were sitting atop the Metaverse!
A community is a fragile thing. It is very difficult to create one, and far too easy to kill one. My inclination is not to force changes my means of rules or artificial devices--but rather, let the community 'work itself out.' If I remember my history, the Guardians began as a mere glimmer in Theoden's eye, a breaking off from another very successful community. And that could happen again. But I, for one, don't intend departing the Guardians while I am having this much fun hanging out with 'the Brothers'!
Oh and by the way, BOOM!
