Ok, you have too much time on your hands dude. That is funny, and weird.

Hey, the Galaxy happens! (I just record what I see. )

Please tell me that Weber BBQ grills are not made from recycled Yorian parts!

Sorry to say MD, but it is exactly that!

Take all the time you want writing your great posts. (The more you post the less you can play ) Great job MD briliant as usual. Get out and enjoy this beautiful West Coast weather this evening.

Aaaahhhhh!

(My worst fears realized! I haven't 'particalized' the Yor into small enough pieces! I must vaporize them so that not the tiniest, useable fragment of their being--or even a remembrance of their being--escapes to be made into some thinly-disguised Yorian trash heap objet d'art!)

ED, you always have my best interests at heart! Looking out for my date-night with my wife. Encouraging me to spend more time with my kids. Reminding me to stop and smell the lilacs (I prefer them to roses). That is so encouraging! And you will be pleased to know that I now have a new key for my motorcycle, and can go out cruising once again to really enjoy this great weather we're having! (And more predicted for the remainder of the week, as well!)

Some people would focus on the 'competition,' and try to put me 'in my place' but not, now wait a minute...

That was you! Hmmm, guess I'll get back to my game, already in progress!

You guys really do need a little rest for a few days. All that Greldonizing must be taking its toll by now.

With the invention of Greldonizing I must say that our stockpiles of Yor parts have greatly diminished leading to higher prices for these parts. We once had so many Yor parts stockpiled our prices on Yor items on Ebay were grealty reduced due to over flooding. But when we invented Greldonization to slow it down; well lets just say it works really effectivily and the prices have gone the other way!

#9456  by Citizen Major Dallas - 4/26/2004 9:32:37 PM

I don't know MC. It's been a while since my Econ classes in college, but it doesn't seem that even low volume could create a high demand or even a 'value' for something as valueless as a Yor. (But maybe that's just my Guardian 101 Training talking!)

#9457  by Citizen Soul Sphere - 4/26/2004 9:47:23 PM

Well, a while back the Guardians were using Yor parts to turn into usefull items cleverly disguised as BBQ Grills, Back Scratches, Dessert Bowls, Ashtrays and a many other variety of things.
The problem was that the Guardians assault on the Yor was to effective and the amount of Yor parts we were amassing was starting to become detrimental to our profits of selling these items on ebay.
So a Guardian I wont reveal here for security reasons came up with Greldonizing to help lower the Yor stockpile we had, thus bringing back more normal prices of our items for sale at ebay.
The problem is that Greldonizing is so effective that with the newer members of the Guardians using its power of destruction and complete annihilation that our reserve stockpile has almost diminished and the prices of our products is going sky-high.

I can'trecall when the problem was talked about in the Ravens Claw thread but it was somewhere back there 150 pages ago or more most probably; just a little history on our economy.

Man did I just get smoked. Figured I'd get in another submission tonight before the in-laws make it into town in a couple days for a week.

Anyway, both the Drengin and Yor went totally hostile on me, no matter how many gifts I'd give them. Both declared war and nothing I can do will make them back off. Both are on the *waaaaay* other side of the Galaxy, I can't even fly any ships to either of their homeworlds. I don't have the time to spend the next 2 weeks on a military victory so I just quit. Maybe I'll come back to it at a later time but I just didn't want to deal with it.

Oh well. I might be a bit scarce the next week or so as RL gets ahold of me a little too much for my liking.

MC, I understand that part. (Remember, I'm the idiot that thought it wise to read the entire thread in order to 'catch up.') I was simply questioning the practicality of something totally good (e.g., a Weber BBQ grill) coming from something totally bad (e.g., a dead Yor).

I mean, the whole concept of recyclying is that something that originally had worth, is being reused (in some part) to once again make something that has worth. But in this equation you are starting with something that has absolutely no inherent worth or redeeming value, and attempting to add worth to it.

I don't know. Seems like a metallic pyramid scheme to me.

#9460  by Citizen Greldon - 4/26/2004 10:38:45 PM

Yes, it's true that the Greldonization process exceeded all expectations. The demand for the previously mentioned items is once again on the rise as are the prices for said items. The Galactic Guardian economy is beginning to stabilize.

BOOM!!!

#9461  by Citizen Soul Sphere - 4/26/2004 11:03:26 PM

I realize that nothing good can come from the Yor as they are, but with careful modification of parts the Guardians have invented some very good uses for them.
Sometimes a little Guardian tender-loving-care can bring nothing to something no matter its origin or miss-givings; how else do you think the Guardians fuel their conquests of war and leading research through out the galaxy; without our exploiting Yor parts and selling the products on the galactic Ebay, Greldonizing would of never been developed; we not only erradicate the vile plague known as the Yor from the galaxy, we also make billions of dollars out of there destruction and modification of their 'bits' as well.

MD, I know of this; foolish maybe? Nah ... it would of been fun to read, specially while waiting as long as you did for your b'day to come around to taste the satisfaction of killing a few billion Yor. I was just giving a little history lesson for everyone else that didn't know this and havn't read the entire thread.

BOOM For the Emporer and Empire.

Changed my strategy a bit and had excellent start.
Held back on my initial bank roll a little longer then usual before going to 100% spending. Never went into red at all or had to turn back spending again.

Also used a little cheese when buying my initial freighters. Saved bought them all. Decided which ones I wanted. Reloaded and bought the ones i wanted. Nothing worse then buying a frieghter half way to no ware. You need 1 right in orbit in order to get your income started right away. Early in the game every move has such a huge impact down the line. I will have to try it again and see if it works as well.

Thanks for noticing because it may not last long. When I submitted I was number 86 and in 15 minutes dropped back to 100. Go to bed people, no more submissions please.

OK! OK! OK! Stop mentioning the great weather - huge electrical storm here yesterday. Power tripping off every 20-30 minutes at home last night (only got 1 game in, and missed out on all the fun in here). More rain scheduled for today.

It must be the Yor! Boy, are they gonna pay for that.

Congrats to Rear Admiral ED for making the top 100.

Great news article MD.

Talking of news... there should hopefully be a new edition of The Metaverse Review up tomorrow. Stay tuned
