OK, who left the door open while we were out. Geez, can't even leave the place for a couple of hours without the undead breaking in and trashing it.
I've gotta hand it you guys though... even Renegade never managed a whole page of spam just to try and grab an xx00 post. And then you missed it. Thanks Kazz, nice to see our Diplomat friends were watching over the place.
Well, some slow time at work has let me get ahead, and a new issue of the Metaverse Review is now out (deputising for Theoden while he sorts RL out). Hope you like it: Link

Let us hum a few bars of the Maple Leaf Forever..In Days of Yor, From Britain's shore |
|
I don't know. Something about that Canadian song bothers me, but I just can't seem to figure out what it is!?!
MC and all, thank you for continuing my education--I should not be surprised that the Guardians are able to make something good, even out of a Yor! We are an awesome empire. (Probably due in large part to not singing songs that idolize the Yor! )

Kazzryl, about time I caught up with you! (I must admit that I've been more than embarassed after my very early post--trying to run you off before I knew the close bond that exists between the Diplos and the Guardians. What a noobie-nonsensical thing to do!)
Good catch on the xx00 post! Awesome save!
Early on (when you were educating me regarding the Alternate Meta) you pointed out that it was another opportunity for friendly competition. Just wanted to point out that I passed out in the Alt Meta (although I'm planning on sticking with Maso, which will soon bump me into a different league), but I have so far to go in the real Metaverse! (If I read correctly, Exalted_Druid jumped all the way to 86, and then a short time later was back down closer to 100! Whew! A lot of activity!)

In Days of yore,
From Britain's shore
Wolfe the dauntless hero came
And planted firm Britannia's flag
On Canada's fair domain.
Here may it wave,
Our boast, our pride
And joined in love together,
The thistle, shamrock, rose entwined,
The Maple Leaf Forever.
[CHORUS]
The Maple Leaf
Our Emblem Dear,
The Maple Leaf Forever.
God save our Queen and heaven bless,
The Maple Leaf Forever.
At Queenston Heights and Lundy's Lane
Our brave fathers side by side
For freedom's home and loved ones dear,
Firmly stood and nobly died.
And so their rights which they maintained,
We swear to yeild them never.
Our watchword ever more shall be
The Maple Leaf Forever
[CHORUS]
Our fair Dominion now extends
From Cape Race to Nootka Sound
May peace forever be our lot
And plenty a store abound
And may those ties of love be ours
Which discord cannot sever
And flourish green for freedom's home
The Maple Leaf Forever
[CHORUS]
Good old Canadian Yor is spelled yore

*sigh* I think I should go over to the CSF thread and sing America the Beautiful or somethin'...
| |
|
Oh, and Tech, that one is better than the one from yesterday.
| |
|
|
Damned storm yesterday has fried the PSU in one of my computers.
Just went to order a new PSU, and happened to slip in a few extra components when the wife wasn't looking
Now got a 3.2Ghz P4 "Prescott", 1Gb DDR400 RAM, 875 chipset motherboard, and a 200GB SATA drive accompanying the PSU. Maybe the storm wasn't so bad after all.

Hey Guardians!
We need an official song. Any suggestions?
