Guys, i am having a major problem with my AP.When i tried to download saved game, AP closes down! Does anybody know why? And is there any solutions? |
|
Is the game a saved game started from a non-AP build? You may have to finish it under regular GalCiv. It should still be on your computer.

I think we need to toss Lord SPAM into the frying-pan and cook him till he is nothing but a burnt-out shriveled piece of meat. After that we can feed him to the dogs.
Lord SPAM, Yor the Man,
Yor the man in the Frying-Pan,
Cook him fast, Cook him well,
Throw it to the dogs, We might as well!

Well, I'm truly heading off this time. I have a fair amount of work ahead of me for the remainder of the day, and over the weekend. I'm writing up an essentials to writing fiction for future reference and regular revision.
Currently I'm reading 'On writing: A Memoir of the Craft' by the legendary Stephen King. I must say his ideas on language and how he writes is very informative. He not only describes what he does, he also gives some darn good examples to justify his 'essentials of writing'.
One thing you will read or hear from all great authors is "Read alot, Write alot." Thats the number one essential. If you can't do that then don't bother being a fiction writer.
Well its back to the essentials for me; have a great weekend everyone!
For Honor and Justice!!

GH, no its originaly AP game! I don't know whats going on, i need it to be fixed ASAP. I've got couple of games to be submitted! |
|
Hmmm, the only CDTs I've noticed have been after things like large alpha strikes, or when you start seeing "damaged" ships without the ships. Usually, the workaround for me was to save right after the Alpha Strike, then let it crash, then reload, and finish the game. (For that matter, I don't think I've seen these in a while either.) From what you are saying, this is after that point. You finish the game, and it asks you if you want to submit. You say yes, and then instead of submitting the game and taking you to main menu, it CTDs. Is that it? Oh, do you have your new player name comming up in the submit as box by default? Maybe there is a bug in that code - that wouldn't be tested out as much.

|
Never mind... I see you didn't change the player name...

Bit too fragile - even the sight of that smilie may well have had an undesired effect.
Just about starting to rejoin the land of the living now though.

am i right? is that a hangover you have? |
|
No - it's far worse than a mere "hangover".
| |
|
Attila, did you have any mods installed? If so, you'll need to re-install exactly the same ones after re-installing AP. That would be the most likely cause of the CTDs.
