I've been doing the usual.
Solving world hunger for all the new jumped up managers fresh out of business school. Bah humbug.

Also been doing some furniture hacking. We had a coffee table that the better half couldn't decide where to put it.
"to good to through out but not good enough for the lounge room." So after lugging the stupid thing all over the house, i thow it outside and put a pot plant or two on it. Well it turns out that great Auntie Mopo yippy left it too second cousin freak-me-out-your-not-sensitive in her will and because she is over seas we are only looking after it until she can come get it.
Luckily I didn't do the first thing to it that came to mind. Hmm i wounder if the Axe is still sharp?

good luck on the job search.. I've been with my current one 15 years and it scares the shit out of me if I lose it.

Theoden, I have always believed that the leadership in any organization sets the tenor and 'corporate culture', and you can take pride in the culture that you have helped create and foster here in the Guardians!

As you stated, this thread has becoming the gathering place--not just for Guardians but for all GalCiv'ers seeking comraderie, whimsy, strategic advice, and even technical support. Good job in making this a place where everyone feels welcome, because they are. (My wife commented just yesterday that the Guardians Empire thread is like the bar in Cheers--it's where we go cause "everybody knows your name" (which means so much more that just that!).

[Shamelessly stealing and morphing a line from The Replacements]: Guardians! Raise a glass. To Theoden! He's our Emperor! He's our Leader! And he's our friend!

I should mention that you were one of the first ones--but certainly not the only one--to encourage me in "the ways of the Metaverse" and even challenge me to a friendly competition. Remember? Well, a lot of my enjoyment from this game derives from 'competing' in the Meta and Alt Meta, and you really jump-started me there, so thank you!
