As Greldon surmised, I do have a little cache of games that I will need to submit later.

Welcome back Lothmorg! While it's good to have you back, I think I speak for many of us when I say that I'm disappointed that you didn't vacation more and play GalCiv less!

[MD cringes as the enormity of Loth's games backlog appears on the hill high above. Then, almost in slow-motion, it begins its descent, its enormous shadow heralding its eminent arrival, blocking out even the sun, and the people of the land began to scatter--but far too late! ]

Hey Loth... Buddy... I'm sure that you are going to have a hard disk problem. Only for the Galciv save games of course and only for those you been working on while you were away. And I'm absolutely positive this hard disk problem will clear up as soon as you have deleted all said save games.

Oh... And good to see you back.

[begrudgingly_on] Ok, yeah--what he said. [begrudgingly_off]

Glad you're back Lothmorg

Well, thank you.

@EE: Been on vacation. Not really, just took the wife to visit with her family, so they pretty much left me alone.

Glad to be back and glad to be getting rid of these games soon.

10,000 for the Emperor and Empire. Congrats to Theoden, and to all that made it possible. Loth give us a heads up when you start to download. Will need to be in a secured area. Under desks or standing in doorways when the Boombs start going off. Its going shake the entire metaverse.

Nah. I'm sure nobody will even notice. Not even Greldon.

Lets add things up. No work. Visiting wifes family. Left pretty much alone. Has lap top. Normally averages 2 or 3 games on a normal day I think we might just be able to notice.

I think I better get some plywood to cover the windows...

I was just looking through the empire rankings, and Lilos Stitch posted a Maso game the other day. Congrats to him!

Ok I know what we need to do about you fellows.
I have a nice professor at university, he is the best soporific I've ever encountered. One only need to listen to him for about half an hour and one can hardly resist sleeping, exactly what we all need to catch up with the GG

I think I better shine up the gold and get ready to hand it over.

Welcome back Loth!

Icho, it's been tried. Turns out Guardians play and post in their sleep even better than when awake. (If you don't believe me, just look at this thread and the Metaverse standings. The numbers speak for themselves!) So when people accuse Guardians of "eating, sleeping, and drinking" GalCiv, they're not kidding!

Hey Greldon (or anyone else with success at military operations!), got a question (or three hundred!) about your military strategy at Maso. Do you culture-flip at all, or is it pretty much straight all-out Greldonization? (I haven't had good success at military operations, primarily because my civ's economy is usually heavily reliant on trade income and the first thing the enemy does is surgically remove all of my trade routes!) Any thoughts/pointers?

What Yor? "Sir, they're gone sir."

I usually Greldonize two or three AIs as soon as I get TS tech. (AIs with least or no trade) I get the rest at the end of the game. Since I've been running from Loth, I Greldonize everything so there are never any prolonged battles. If I want to fight I build a couple Paladins or Dreds and duke it out until they want peace. I then take any techs they have and grant peace until it's time to make some space dust.

Greldon, do you (can you) protect your trade routes while you're at war?

#10068  by Citizen Greldon - 5/4/2004 4:52:48 PM

I never pick a fight until I'm ready to take them all out, in case somebody objects.

Hey guys!

Are the fireworks over? You know the Yor aren't standing around waiting for us...

GH just took post 300 in the loft. Just couldn't resist a even post before letting it die. That is to funny. Like putting a carot in front of a rabbit I guess.

I set all the ships my Hero finds (and any I may have built) to auto attack, but that's about it.

Somebody had to close it up proper, just in case we ever need it again.
