Went and saw Van Hellsing tonite. Pretty kick-ass. I reccommend it to everyone. And I saw a trailer for this http://www.thunderbirdsmovie.uk.com/ Link I think the older members of the forum will get a kick out of this.

BOOM That was a lucky map. Center of map with lots of close by good planets on rare. No predicting what your going to get. Wish they would all be like that.

Pizza and beer for me Friday nights LW. Always work late Fridays.

Way to go ED! Glad to see that you got some good gaming time in! You're previous post reminded me of my last game--started with 8 good planets within my reach. Gave it a run getting them all (still trying to use Magnumaniac's strategy) but it slowed down my financial start way too much--although the research potential was HUGE! Ended up re-starting that same map, grabbing the four best planets and running it to a 60K maso. The only difficulty, and the first time I've had this problem, was that my leading production planet was being heavily influenced by one of the AI civs. It kept flipping (despite having a consistent morale of 100) and I'd have to revert to my most recent save game. Made it tense and exciting!

Have not expierenced that problem because of the influence wonders you tend to get using the Magnum TM strat . I lost a planet that was gifted to me though. Did you let him get planet in the same sector as you.

Dull Thud

And my game count now mysteriously says 92 games...

Oh, well...no time to chat today. My daughter's waking up from her nap and requires my immediate attention!

Have a great day all!

ED, yes. That was the game that I re-started where there were 8 available good PQ planets, and when I re-started I simply went for the three additional best ones. Unfortunately (and I see the error or my ways now that you have asked this insightful question!) they were not as clustered as would have been wise. Given the same situation, next time I will bypass the 'four highest PQ' in favor of the 'four highest PQ tight cluster'. Live and learn.

Oh, and BOOM!

Well, I for one AE, am trying to catch up to you! How are you doing?

Oh, and congratulations to ED on his promotion to Vice Admiral (got mine today as well, ED)!

#10469  by Citizen Evil Druid - 5/8/2004 10:27:01 PM

Cool, a promotion. I just want to make it clear. I had nothing to do with the Yor prison camps. I was just following Greldon's orders. Who new the Greldonization process was fatal. I thought it was like a lube job for thier moving parts. I know people are calling my actions ungardian but if they didn't take those dam photo's the world would never know.

Hold it. Thats a different reality. Here were allowed to Greldonize our enemy;s
