Any general tips on AP play?

High diplomacy pick and trade, trade, trade. With 7 AIs to trade with diplomacy becomes even more worthwhile than before.

I have heard others suggest splitting them up between good and evil so they war with each other more readily, or all to good and playing good to go for alliance victory.

Evil races are quite happy to war with eachother, and rarely make alliances of their own accord. Using all good AI and playing good makes it hard to get 60K for a huge alliance vic. Besides, it's much more fun sacrificing your people for a research bonus, or creating a "boil" farm.

Excellent work guys. I moved up to 81 and haven't done a thing! Must have hit a 30 day thing or something. Morrowind so totally rocks. I'm going to try to get a game in this week though to help the push for 10 million!

Welcome quick! Try Mag's strategy at least once (it's on the private Guardian forums). I personally set all 7 AI's to Pure or Chaotic Evil and typically play Neutral to Evil and will take Evil choices if given the opportunity. They all war with each other just fine. I found that even making a couple of them good causes them to go on a "crusade" against you, making an alliance victory nearly impossible. 7 Evil AI's, Maso, huge alliance victory 9 times out of 10.

I can get 60k on Large/Tight/Rare/Military and have all AI set to pure good. I think that's just beacuse it's military. I haven't submitted an alliance in a while, so I'm not sure what that would net.

I've done it with only Sol once or twice, but I generally get 2-3. My last game I had 2 systems at first, Sol was a PQ20 and them I grabbed a star with a PQ22 and PQ 26 off the bat. Made for a rather easy game.

7 AI plus minors must make for tight space. No one should end up with more then 2 or 3 I would think.

Usually one civ will get 4 maybe even 5. Then two minors get taken. I hvae had one where I scored like 7 systems. But yes, for the most part 2-3 a piece, and some with only one.

Wow, having AP certainly makes a difference, although it certainly wasn't any easier, it definitely helps scoring. I had to go back to auto saves a couple of times for both the Yor and the Korx. Grr! I was the weakest player at all times except as civs were dying, but I did have the satisfaction of taking the Yor's last planet, and of having the Drath surrender to ME! Yay,
alright, I'll crank out a couple more sometime soon, gotta get 10,000,000

Sure is quiet today. Its Monday so MD had to actually go to work today. I guess he cannot slip in a game or two at lunch on Monday's or communicate on the forums. Welcome to the real world MD. I had to help my daughter make a model castle for school yesterday but managed to squeeze one game in. Hope I get A on it. Hopefully tonight I can get away with a game without any friction on the home front. I believer the Yor have discovered my home world and have begun spending mass sums on destabalization.

They will pay for this. Greldonization the final solution.

Its good when the other AI's leave the Yor to the guardians
