Hi Greldon! I see you're still about 40k ahead of Loth for the moment!
1 Greldon 281 1945116
2 Lothmorg the Black 372 1901476
It's a beautiful sight!

Wouldn't it be great if Greldon and Loth both passed 2 million points the same day?!
You guys are amazing!

Well, looking at the stats from the altmeta for the last 2 months, empires 2-10 inclusive could all join up, and still be behind us in raw submission scores.
Maybe the pirates and undead could join forces, but I don't see too many others slipping across. Besides, to join a different empire requires an action on the part of the player, so all those long lost Canadians who contribute to the CSF empire score only by default would still remain in CSF, or unaligned if the empire disbands. Only half a dozen or so active players would shift across (if they all wanted to be pirates).
It would appear we really do stand alone! |

It's tough at the top (as you know Greldon).
I think we still have a few friends around aswell.

Crap...just read that Icho's about to jump into the Top 25! Better get off here and play a game!
Just kidding Icho...I'll be happy to see you on the front page!
Seriously, I'm going to go ahead and start a game. I feel the need...the need to eradicate some Yor! Yeah baby!
See everyone later!

Breaking News.....
Tech just became a Diplomat.
Shot them into 2nd place. That'll please the pirates.

[popping in]
Glad to see you with the Diplomats, Tech.
Of course, you could start your own Empire. Maybe the Techno Geeks? Heck, I might even join that one.
Nah.

Anyone up for RDG in Clone War II?

You just forget one thing: games aged for more than 331 days worth nothing. |
|
Aaargh! (Note: That was the sound of desperation, not a pirate! ) You're right Peace, I overlooked that component. Although, since my 'strategy' would require everyone ceasing game submissions for the entire time, I suspect that it's the least of my miscalculations!

Hello, my Emperor! I brought you a small gift--BOOM! (So now we're just that much closer to 10M!)

I've toyed with a thought for a while, see what you think of it.
Internal Guardian competition. Have the Guardians split into 2 empires for 1 month. Good Guardians vs Evil Guardians. Neutrals are free to join either, but must restrict their game submition to the alignment chosen. Rules are as per Clone Wars with overall score, score classes, etc. Altmeta makes this possible. Theoden remains neutral and keeps the "real" Guardians empire in place. At the end of the month of course, we all rejoin. It would give us a use for those nifty inverse shields that DW came up with.
What do you all think?

Oh, and just to put it on the record,
For any players out there that are considering changing empires because you feel that:
...there isn't enough activity in your current empire
...there isn't anyone to talk to in your empire
...you may feel that first place empire is out of reach
...you don't have enough competition
...you don't have enough reconition for your efforts
and of course,
...you just want to bash some Yor!
...and you are looking for an empire with an "open door" policy.
There is an obvious answer. Consider the Galactic Guardians. We have a blast here! Come join the freight train of Yor destruction!
We'll leave the light on just in case
For Honor and Justice!

Dull Thud
Now THAT was fun!! The outcome was never in doubt, I rolled all over the Yor!
Sorry, but that game was great! Really nothing much to say but I got a great start, somehow managed to get a tech lead ( ), traded the Drath and Arceans for all their Transports, invaded the Yor with those Transports, then proceeded to stomp the rest of the galaxy into submission!!!
Tech, glad to see you made a decision you're happy with! The Diplomats couldn't have asked for a better member.
I see Icho made it onto the first page also!
GH: interesting idea! Maybe I could post a poll in the private forums to gauge interest in that idea!
