The ingenious Guardians have invented a new super computer that is larger than any other built before. It is composed of 13B, yes B, YOR wired together. The fuel that feeds this monstocity of a computational engine is the dwingling supply of Prancing Ponies. Hence, the life time of this machine is not expected to be long. But, Guardian Weyrleader has used it sufficiently to decode the top secret docuement that was encrypted when it started talking about different type of Guradians and burn rates. It turns out, that the net result is that neither type of Guardian will burn in the Drengin fires, but that the good Guardians actually put out the fire while the bad Guardians escape unscathed. This is truly an astonishing finding - the Guardian Empire is truly the only Empire that can guard all the galaxy.

The Yor are really screwing with our communications today. I think a little Greldonization is in order.

Sign me up. My weekend has just begun. I could drop in another game. I bet I can get at least 15-20k for it.

Typical Yor--you've got to repeat something 8 times and they still don't get it! (Which proves than even an answering machine is superior to the walking toasters! )

Got my first game since Monday in, and scored a whopping 30K+ metapoints for it.

Apologies for lack of activity this week, but I've been stuck in a room full of pirates... no, sorry, getting reality and GalCiv confused there... my boss had to take the week off at short notice, and as deputy I got landed with his workload as well as my own. Today was the first day of the week I got out before 9pm.

Congratulations to everyone who I've missed congratulating, most notably Greldon for cracking 2 mill, and all the new medal awardees.

And Weyrleader... congrats on what was probably the Galciv Forum's first OCTUPLE post.

Well better go and make some more Yor pay for the "pirate incident" - gotta watch out for our Emperor who seems to have upped his scoring rate somewhat.

Good to see ya, Magnumaniac! You noticed that our Emperor is moving rather quickly now also, eh?

#11282  by Citizen Weyrleader - 5/20/2004 6:45:12 PM

BOOM!!! and 180B Yor became space dust. I move up a notch to 38, just passing Dream Warrior.

Magnumaniac: Thank you recognizing that it sometime take talent to be first in something, and then sometimes not

I love the ending when the YOR have all be vaporized with TS and you make peace with them, take all their tech and TGs to avert war with the AIs that they are allied with

Nice work Weyleader.

I'm dropping in to say I'll be a bit scarce this evening. My new sound card keeps locking up my machine, so I have to reinstall. I'll keep up on things from my second PC when I'm not working on this.

Site seems to be working better now. MD should be just about ready for his commute from work. The walk from his desk to beer fridge can be quite trying on him.

I should move my beer fridge next to my computer. Maybe the kegerator...

LW, Don't give up what little excercise your getting. Now the Kegerator is an idea I have been working on myself.

Drill hole in beer fridge. Place Keg nozzle into hole connected into keg inside fridge. Whoa la, you have cold beer on tap and you don't even have to open the fridge door.

little excercise

What? you mean my weekend mountain biking, and daily 30 min of cardio?

As for the Kegerator, I have a spare frigde and there are handy little kits available locally to install to put a tap on them. Also on ebay. I love ebay.

Yeah, and also noticed one or two folk on page 2 making a rapid ascent. So to that end... BOOM!!!, and goodnight.

Dull Thud

Hmmm...I'm not being very stealthy, am I?

Knock-knock! I'm right at your back door Naqmir!

I'm going to take it easy the rest of the evening. I've got another interview at the Times tomorrow morning (yes, another one). Geez, can't they make a decision??? Seriously, this is for another position there and it sounds promising. I'll keep everyone up-to-date with how it is going.

Alright, 6th best in movement for the empire, much better than I thought, this calls for another game.

Not tonight though, I've started lifting with some guys from college who are early birds. They like to lift at 9 AM (ugh!) not to mention it's a half hour drive to college, that means I'm up before 8. Ridiculous.

So in conclusion that means I'm going to bed tonight and I'll have to owe you guys one for tomorrow.

#11297  by Citizen quiksilverhg - 5/21/2004 12:14:40 AM

Hey, one more note.

How come we went down in active players this month?

I wasn't in the empire last month, but who did we lose? and can we get them back?

#11298  by Citizen Greldon - 5/21/2004 12:28:26 AM

I don't think we lost anyone, but Slayer MC has been absent lately.

#11299  by Citizen Greldon - 5/21/2004 12:29:55 AM

A little shameless spamming for the empire.
