It's almost noon here...I should have stayed in bed. Someone had this brilliant idea to go bar hopping last night, and now I'm paying for it.

Good morning/afternoon/evening, all! (Nope, this is not the Truman show!)
Has anyone else noticed that the first game post after ~24 hours nets a lot more than frequently spaced games? I'm curretly averaging right around 4K for a 60K maso, but recently/occasionally one of those will net me ~12K. Don't think it will effect my frequency of game play, but it might effect my frequency of posting games (i.e., 'batching' them and submitting every 24hrs. plus a little).
I'll be interested to hear your experiences.

Toss me a tow chain! I'm stuck in the mud back here! |

GH, anything for a brother Guardian! (Not certain how to do that practically, but know that we are 'behind' you all the way even when we're in front of you! At least I think that's what I meant to say!)
Speaking of which, it would be sort of neat to be able to 'gift' game points to another player every now and then--kinda like depositing into someone else's account. That would be a cool way to give another player a lift, encourage them, and encourage community all at the same time! Just a thought.

Hey MD! Thanks to you and WL for the moral support anyway
Note: I hereby declare Weryleader's nick to be WL
As for the point thing, it's because your first game of each day includes the movement of old games to their new block. The second and subsuquent games just add their own point value. I am pretty sure that movement occures on the first game submitted after midnight local time, or first game after midnight in Stardock time (which is the same for me in W. PA. so I don't know which of the 2 is right).

Play a game for someone, at thier level, and send the endgamesave. That would work.

Oh, as for frequency or timing, season to taste. I think if you waited a few days you would get a bigger boost to one score than if you submitted every day, but the net effect for all scores over time is the same. It all really depends on what games you have moving when. Personally, I try for consistancy. I try to have at least one game moving each day rather than a large block followed by a big hole. That way, on any day, I can get at least a little movement (about 10K per game right now).

LW, good idea but I thought that each game was 'stamped' in a unique way to indicate the license (as well as being unique so that I can't submit the same game multiple times). It would be interesting to get feedback from Stardock on a "point sharing" mechanism.

Each game has it's unique marker, but I don't think that it's unique to the license.

On second thought, maybe not such a good idea. I'm sure that some enterprising empire or another would create a straw player and have everyone contribute points to getting "their player" into first.

Dull Thud
I've got a sinus infection and a throat infection. Been in bed since 8 PM last night.
I had to drag myself to the PC and kill some Yor, but I'm going back to bed now.
