All Right!!! Outstanding job, Guardians!!!!

Dull Thu- oh...wait...I meant BOOM!!!

That's right...I decided to celebrate with a Huge/Maso. I was going to just go for an Alliance, but the Yor surrendered to the Drengin, so naturally that was the Drengin's death warrant and then I had a Fundamentalist event. So, I vaporized everybody that was left. It was a lot of fun! Boy, Huge maps seem really big after playing Small and Medium maps for a while!

Thanks everybody for your thoughts and prayers throughout my unemployment. I'll dedicate the first round of beers to all of you! The wife and I are going to postpone our celebration until this weekend. 3-Day weekend!!! Memorial Day couldn't have come at a better time. Actually, now that I think about it, I think Kansas is playing an outdoor concert this weekend. Not that I'm some huge Kansas fan or anything, but they have beer gardens at those concerts!

Okay, goodnight all! Congratulations to everybody who BOOMed today!

Naqmir, I'm only getting a few thousand per game at the moment, so don't get too far from me! Let's go meet Mag in the Millionaire's Club together!

BOOOM Wow, what a boomer. That game netted me 43,000 points in the meta. Went from 50th to 38th in one boom. I'll have to go away more often

The explanation is the folllowing: before the submission we have :
block 0: 32 games, average 57K per game
block 1: 19 games, average 14K per game
block 2 : 2 games, average 6K per game
Movements:
entering block 0: 1 60K games
from block 0 to block 1: 7 games, average 50K per game
from block 1 to block 2: 3 games, average 6K per game
After the movement we have:
block 0: 26 games, average 59K per game
block 1: 23 games, average 26K per game
block 2: 5 games, average 6 K per game

So the experienced boost was due to the fact that block 1 see an increase of 21% of the number of game with an increase of 85% of the average. So the increase was : 26*sqrt(23) - 14*sqrt(19) = 14*1.85*sqrt(19*1.21)= 14*sqrt(19)*(1.85*sqrt(1.21) -1) = 14*sqrt(19)*(1.85*1.1 - 1) near 14*sqrt(19) * (2 - 1) = 14*sqrt(19) = 60K
So the block 1 see a score increase of 100% that clearly compensate the loss in block 0.

Having in same block low scoring games and high scoring games really kills metaverse scores

Are you in Kansas City, Theoden?

Theoden... Excellent!!

Peace Phoenix, the fact that you can understand all of that is admirable. The fact that you can explain it so that an idiot like me can understand it is exceptional! Question: Where do you go to determine the 'block' information?

Question: Where do you go to determine the 'block' information?

what do you mean?
block 0 correspond to games aged for 0 to 30 days from the last submission.
block 1 is for games aged 31 to 60 days from the last submission

I have just made an Excel sheet that do all calculations from a copy and paste of player info.
But some tweaking are needed for net value in block: the dynamic table adjust it self to calculate brut value for each block. And I have 2 axis, 1 for a submission date and 1 for another submission date. This allows me to see games movements bewteen 2 submission date.

But for the actual value of a block, I have yet some work to do, since my formula are based on cell in the dynamical table, and there can be movement as blocks appear and disappeared depending of number of game in it.

what do you mean?

OK, so you're simply determining the blocking based on game age. Are you doing your copy-and-paste from the player info pop-up or from some other source (e.g., an area of StatBot)?

Outstanding work PP. Glad you're around to explain these things in detail.

Looks like you were spot on with Jackey-Jackey's prediction aswell. Top stuff.

I've decided now that as long as the score doesn't go down, then it's OK. Hurts the brain too much after a hard day's work to try and work out the why's and wherefore's.

What he said, sure 'nuf. (But it's still comforting--and perhaps a little scary!--to know that there are people who understand the mysteries of Metaverse scoring!)

Ok. Anything for my Emperor. I think it will take a while though seeing as how where only getting a few k per game. At the rate im going it will take me 36 more games to reach 1 million points.

Just a copy and paste from player info pop-up.

Hey guys. The new block thing only happens every 30 days. It is not a constant flow of games from one block to the other.

Yes it is! After 31 days, your second block starts, and each day after that (that you submit on) more games move into the second block.

Block 1 = all games in last 31 days
Block 2 = all games 32-61 days old
Block 3 = all games 62-91 days old
etc, etc.

Changes on a daily basis.
