One problem I see. What if some of our players that play but never check in with the forum keep posting games for the "Good" empire without being good? That was why I originally suggested 2 new empires (...although I know that is impractical the way things are currently).

I don't think it will be much of a problem, and in fact is something I'm hoping will happen. If they submit and take a look at the empire and see people missing, it might make them see what's going on. And then they might get more enthusiastic again. Remember, we're all Guardians and our ultimate goal is to have fun. The only way we can have fun is participation and if this increases participation, all the better!

Evil wins when Good does nothing.

Naah, Evil wins anyway because it's much more fun.

Well, against Evil, I guess Good needs all the help it can get

Nice bonuses anyway. I think playing Good can be rather difficult.

I'm not sure I would do it, especially if I would need to stay on for the whole month. I do have my own empire to see to.

I think that VoT has raised excellent points and we should explore with Stardock about making the Metaverse more flexable so that we could form these impromptu jousts without having to give up the formal alignments, either good or bad or empire. Thus, I might like to explore playing evil in a tournament, but normally I would not do so.

Stardock, are you listening? Loosen up and make it better

Isn't it going to be weird seeing two Guardian empires at the #1 and #2 positions?

I love Mel Brooks movies. Just downloaded an AVI of Robin Hood - Men In Tights and watched it for the first time in years the other night. Couldn't stop LMAO for the rest of the night.

Well, the individual list has seen Guardians at #1 and #2 for quite some time, so only right that the empire rankings should match for a while.

You know, Evil might not make the #2 Empire, the Diplomats and GROSS might be stronger. It may be #1 and #4.

So Loth, when are you going to create it?

Oh, and I know this was a while back, but Greldon, we look forward to your return.

Weyrleader, you really got my attention when you mentioned your spot on Whidbey Island a few pages back. (Took me a while to catch up this morning!) My in-laws have a place on Fidalgo--in fact, the first place there. My father-in-law was logging Fidalgo with his father (no bridge out there at that time), fell in love with the place, bought a parcel of land, purchased a house at auction on the mainland, borrowed a tug, bought a barge, drug a Cat tractor out to build a road, cut the house in half with a chainsaw , hauled each half out, "sewed" them back together, built a foundation underneath, and dropped it down (using about twenty car jacks borrowed from friends and relatives!). That's where they live to this day, and I swear it's the best view on Fidalgo!

If you're ever out this way to mess with your property you'll have to swing by for some of the best BBQ west of the Mississippi! (Here in lowly Port Orchard.)

And that invitation goes to all Guardians who might venture out Seattle-way.
