That doesn't sound very stable.

Top of the page! (unless you are on SDC )

best BBQ west of the Mississippi

Mmmmmm....BBQ!

Hey MD! I just updated the Awards Chamber. I know I congratulated you on the Top 25, but did I say "Well Done" on getting Fleet Admiral?

I hadn't even noticed you were Fleet Admiral MD. Congrats!

Oh, will there be a medal for the GvE winners?

Congrats Fleet Admiral Major!

Or is that Major Fleet Admiral?

I am thinking there will be a medal for the winners and an award for participants. Sort of like the Clone Wars Award. But a medal for the winners is a good idea.

Okay...I've gotta go kill some Yor now. I'll be back a little bit later, after I submit!

For Honor and Justice!

Major Fleet Admiral

I think that averages out to something like Colonel or Brigdaer(sp) General.

Maybe FAMD for short...

Funny what people will do for a shiny piece of metal...

...the remaining Guardian knights arranged a feast in honour of First Knight Greldon. Tales of his great deeds were told late into the night, and much ale was hoisted to his name.

Magnumaniac, well done! Well written, perfect setting, and the ale and stories were refreshing indeed!

Here's to Greldon's return, safe and soon!

You guys actually noticed it before (or at least at the same time) that I did! I was scrutinizing how close I came to receiving my 'Former Top 25' medal last night, as JT Qwerk submitted a game that put him back into the top 25, and by all rights should have pushed me back out! But instead he got #24, I stayed at #25, and someone else must have dropped out. Whew, that was close!

And yes, Theoden, you congratulated me and I thank you and all of my other brother Guardians who have done the same--both for Top 25 and now for Fleet Admiral. Thank you all! (I love this game--but I especially love the Empires!)

you really got my attention when you mentioned your spot on Whidbey Island

MD,
I spent many a good year in Seattle back from 1964-1970 getting my PhD at the UW nuclear physics lab. We still have many friends in that area.

Magnumaniac, well done! Well written,

Thanks MD, and congrats on joining the pawnbrokers.

GH, it all gets confusing, doesn't it. (Note: It's further complicated by the fact that my mother was a hamster and my father smelt of elderberries.)

And let's not forget the Mrs.--General Fleet Admiral Dallas! (Or whatever!)

Well get on out here and let's start throwing stuff on the BBQ, already! (By the way, that timing probably means you were familiar with the billboard that read, "Would the last person leaving Seattle please turn out the lights?" Yes?)

Hmmm, has Attila checked in today?

I was just reciting recent posts to my wife (and no, I didn't attempt that back when I did my original 'catch-up', but I have given her the highlights on many occasions since then). And she has corrected me. She pointed out that her official title is 'Queen'! (I'm off to fetch bon-bons and the royal scepter!)

GH, shouldn't he be in exams about now? (Never been too good with time zones, and I never know what month it is. )

Didn't he say he had an exam at 1pm (that's about 3.5 hours ago now). Guess he's recovering from the ordeal with the aid of a cold one or two.

Yes, we were on our way out of town at that time. We had many friends that had worked at Boeing for 29 years and then laid off, loosing all theiir pension. That action caused Congress to pass laws that made pension benefits vested after 5 years.

In our case, Linda (my wife) and I were on a 6 month trip around the world visiting friends and friends of friends who were missionaries in various countries. We also spent a month studying with Dr. Francis Schafer at L'Bri in Hoemoz, Switzerland. Then picked up a VW camper and drove 12,000 miles up and down Europe camping an enjoying the world. By the end, if it wasn't a 4* we didn't even want to stop
