This is going to be a great month!

Okay, gotta go do some stuff around here before I try to slip another game in today!

For Honor and Justice!

Hey guys, sorry I've been out for awhile, I see the GvE competition has started. Since I will be fighting on the good side I don't need to change empires right?

I've been out due to frustration mostly, I played like 5 games where I started with 4-6 planets and one of the AIs ended up with 8, which has just been insurmountable the way I play on maso. So after that I started playing Lords of the realm and diablo for awhile.

I'm looking to come back though and get some better luck and start racking up some points for the good guys. I'm off to work for awhile now (finally got a job instead of being a bum for the summer) I'll try to rally a Boom for the good guys tonight.

For Honor and Justice!

Right, although they may try to talk you into it, run from those evil temptations

Jobs are good

I'll try to rally a Boom for the good guys tonight.

Great, we are on our way to vanquishing evil

I may even miss them

Timed to perfection Naqmir.

Got to go and do some "quaking in my boots" for a while, now that Theoden has proclaimed that we should be very afraid. Once I've finished doing that (it's OK, I'm doing it in work time) I shall endeavour to try and find someone to give my ass a good whooping - though I think they could be in short supply.

#12357  by Citizen Naqmir - 6/1/2004 10:51:12 AM

But what other smiley gets you Altarian slave girls.

Yeah - the black one.

Hey Quik, come on in - the water's not too hot down here in the pit. Just think what difference a 40% PQ boost or 2 would have made to those troublesome games. You can also get invites to the Drengin Furnace parties as something other than "entertainment".

I was wondering who they had enlisted to feed their furnaces. How does it feel to be slaves to the Drengin

Hey, feeding Altarians and Torians into furnaces is fun. No hardship at all, and allows us to easily insinuate our culture into the Drengin's microscopic minds, resulting in rapid flipping and a galactic monopoly on cheap heating systems.

Did you know that one adult male Altarian (aka. The Dallas Cowboys) can heat an entire household for 3.63 days if burned slowly. Torians aren't quite so good, only providing 2.12 days heat per live specimen. Yor are no good at all as the oil makes them burn out too quickly and they leave a hard to dispose of residue.

I agree with you totally on the Yor. My research says that they take a special furnace to efficiently extract the heat from their cold metal, sort like a heat pump. Takes a lot of Yor, though. I have thought of grinding them up and using them for sparklers in fire works displays. My understadning is that if ground to the right size, they ignite with a loud boom (hence the "BOOM!" when they are defeated)

Boom!!! For Evil!!

moved me up one place to #53!

This time Yor was really powerful... so i had to make friends with them at first, they had like 7star systems, one of them had 3planets! so... rememeber, evil, backstabbing!! it worked!!

Keep on comming (although I could shout it louder if you were good )

Even us good guys are good to our enemies, but that doesn't not make them our enemies. When the time is right, you eliminate them (just remember that )

All hail Champion of Doom, Loopcub! Newest member of the Guardians of Doom Senate!

I will do my best to Honor my place in the Guardians of Doom. I must ask why are there more good guardians then there are evil?

Good morning, all--Good and Evil Guardians alike!

Congrats to ED and Theoden on getting two games in right off the bat! Woohoo for Good!

Attila, way to keep moving up that ladder, dude! Top 50 is beckoning you! My last several games the Yor have consistently been the 'runt of the litter.' Must have drawn a very poor starting position each of those times. One planet tops. Makes me sad because there were so few of them to Greldonize!

Well, the serious reason is that a second Empire was created and it required an active move to their to join Evil; whereas, all Guardian members (including those who are currently inactive) are counted as part of the Good. But if you look at the AltMeta stats for last month (as the shifting of Empires began to take place) you'll see that only have of those Good Guardians were actually active, whereas all 8 (and counting?) Evil Guardians are, by definition, active.

Now I'm certain there are countless, less serious, explanations!

By the way, Loopcub, it's great to have you among the active members! I haven't gotten to interact with you much yet, but look forward to doing so here in the Raven's Claw thread!

That should mean about 2.5 games or so. Let's have a party when you reach it, one that will take you about month to recover from

Off-topic, brief Memorial Day Weekend BBQ report:

Late Sunday night I mixed up a batch of Sam's Special Mustard Sauce (which incorporates a can of beer, of course!) and slathered it over two 5lb+ pork butts. Stuck those into Zip-Loc bags and squeezed out the air so that they could "enjoy each other's company" overnight. Bright and early Monday morning I was up to light the coals, liberally cover the butts with dry rub, and get them BBQing. By mid-afternoon they were falling apart when I tried to turn them (a great sign), so pulled them off, let them rest for a bit, then pulled them for pulled pork BBQ sandwiches! Add a little cole slaw, some kickin' hot sauce, stick it all in some cheap, white fluffy buns, put a can of beer on the side and that's what I'm talkin' about!

Which reminds me, ED, whereabouts in BC are you? (Just thinking that it probably wouldn't be too much of a stretch to enjoy one of these BBQ events together!)

Thanks I read all the messages but rarely post because I can not find the time all the guardians are on the internet. I go on at one time and no one is on or talking and then at a later time there are three or four more pages of posts
