Of course that was not all of my games, I just didn't feel like any words were necessary towards the evil guardians of doom.
That game was probably one of my shortest in recent times, but certainly not the easiest. Torians started out with 9 planets. When I looked at the map I had expected them to get about 5. So it was an uphill battle trying to keep them happy the whole game, it took all of my trade and lots of gifts, but they never got below neutral with me, and I kept them at war with all their trade partners, so I was their only trade buddy, I'm sure that helped.
Everytime I saw someone had a trade buddy that wasn't me I ordered the more powerful one to attack their trade buddy, which I think helped a lot. Finally I was able to get a decent military out of corvettes battlehammers and transports and took over the Yor's lone planet. Things started getting better after that. I was gonna invade the korx, but I saw that it was 2190 and everyone was warm or better with me, so the next turn I tried to ally with everyone, and after I had 4 allies down I looked at the screen and I was only neutral with the arceans (doh!) so I tried anyways and unfortunately they said ooh, more presents. So I checked the treaties screen and turns out they were at war with torians (doh!) so I crossed my fingers and ended turn, and luckily I was not forced to attack and I got the arceans to close the next turn
phew.
And after all of that i was rewarded with moving up into 42nd place.

Boom!
Was just gonna leave it at two today, but a beautiful map came up too quick, 5 planets in reach one a 17, and another a 19. Plus I knew I would gain a promotion
And the fundies came and wiped out three civs for me as the icing on the cake. So thanks to fundies I netted 6k and a promotion.
