I bought Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and have been playing it since I got home from work.

Star wars: Kights of the old Republic is a very good game.

Game diversity is necessary. But for now, Boom! for Justice and goodnight

A BOOM for Doom! I must have crossed a block a while back since I got a 20K extra boost with that one. I'm getting about 10K a submission now which is certainly nice.

I passed by that crazy moose and up to 55. Top 50 is sooooo close but it's almost a 50k jump to 50 so if this holds I should get Top 50 in 5-6 games. Here I come guys, keep page 2 warm for me!

Dull Thud

Sorry I've been so quiet this week, but it is turning out to be much busier than I expected. I've had things to do after work and so I haven't had much time to kill Yor.

I guess I should elaborate a little on my new job. I am a Delivery Manager, in charge of circulation in my district. My primary focus is to retain current subscribers and to grow circulation as much as possible. This is acheived primarily through ensuring excellent customer service but is greatly affected by various sales techniques. All-in-all, this is a great challenge and I am absolutely thrilled to have this opportunity. Oh, and the fact that another department is interested in me also makes me smile! The Advertising department still wants me but I'm pretty happy where I am right now.

Congratulations to Weyr for getting onto the first page!

Also, congrats to MD for passing me! I'll try to keep up with you.

I know I've been slow in updating the medals page. I'm just too tired to do it right now. Hopefully I will be able to do it soon, please bear with me.

Everyone have a great night!

For Honor and Justice!

I read that it is the 1st state funeral in 30 years. Presidents must have a long life expectancy for none to die in the last 30 years.

Actually, I believe Nixon passed away during Clinton's administration. For any number of reasons, he didn't get the full honors. Carter, Ford, and Bush Sr. are all really up there in years (I think all served in WWII), but are still hanging on.

No worries Theoden, I am glad it is going well and your enjoying it.

My Boom was a big one about 15K. Game was anoying got more, "more presents please" then usual. Would have time for another if they had let me end it at 2190.

Now is the time to catch up on all that back traffice people have been complaining about. Of course, now they are complaining that it is too quiet

My own opinion is that the first week of friendly rivalry wore everyone out and now they have to catch up on all the work they skipped to get those early games in. RL always intrudes

perhaps, although it's not just quiet in raven's claw recently, the diplomatic channel and the SH is very quiet too

It's also summertime. I'm suprised I've found as much time as I have to get in a couple games a week. The honeydo list grows daily!

Interesting, 10 days into the competition to see how many games people are averaging per day. Loth's leads averaging 4 a day. Bet he does not even own a TV. Even at 45 min per game which I think would be the best I could imagine, that is averaging 3 hours per day.

I can play a game in about an hour not counting the time it takes to find a decent map and everything goes perfectly according to plan.

I have a discussion topic I been thinking about. Goverment. I often forget to upgrade my goverment. When I do I sometime see my bc per month go into the red when I was running a surplus prior to change in goverment. Does everyone upgrade to the higher level of govermentas soon as avaiable. Does anyone not and why.

#13269  by Citizen Naqmir - 6/10/2004 4:32:53 PM

I upgrade as soon as I can.I dont see too big a benefit from upgrading though. All that happens is your production goes up a bit and you have elections.

#13270  by Citizen Evil Druid - 6/10/2004 4:47:49 PM

Production goes up. Does that mean you can put more bc into production. What I am getting at is I was running at 100% with about 10 bc over. Changed goverment and was losing about 10 bc per turn. So what does production going up mean in terms of bc. Do I get more producition from the same number of BC or can I spend more bc in production.

#13271  by Citizen Naqmir - 6/10/2004 4:53:54 PM

You can spend more bc on production. The more advanced the government the more bc you can put into production.

#13272  by Citizen Evil Druid - 6/10/2004 5:29:44 PM

So with that knowledge I would think I should delay my 1st goverment change until I am running a surplus and can win an election.

Double posted because if its worth saying, it is worth saying twice.

Yes, but it delay your production of wonders and allows the AI to sometimes snatch from under you feet
