Hello folks!
Sorry I've been quite silent the past several days. I actually managed to drop in a Dull Thud a couple of days ago, but have been so busy I haven't been able to say anything. My daughter got sick again and we've had quite a time trying to figure out what was wrong. She had a consistent fever of around 104 for several days and she was soooooo cranky. The lab tests finally came in and the only thing they could say was it was some viral infection that was causing it. Hmmm...I should be a doctor and get paid a ton of money to say something stupid like that. Anyway, she had a couple of shots of antibiotics. Either they worked or she worked it out of her system herself. She's fine now....that's the important thing.
I hope to get in a couple of games soon. My work schedule is going to be upside down for this week. They want me to come in at night to watch the press runs, so I'll be working schedules like 10PM-7AM and weird stuff like that. Glad that's only for one week!!!
Welcome to our new members and a hearty For Honor and Justice to all Guardians!
I know the past week or two has caused some serious upheaval in the empire, and for that I'm truly sorry. Hopefully, we will get past these events and move forward with renewed vigor. I sense that the Guardians are about to embark on a new Age. Our destiny decries that we strike down all our distractions and rise to new glories. The Metaverse shall tremble with the sound of our BOOMs and various other loud noises. Our struggles against the Yor and the other vermin races in the galaxy shall reveal epic songs in which our friend bards will recite for ages to come.
Let us vow that no system shall be desecrated by alien stench. Let us pledge ourselves to the continued destruction of the Yor Collective. And let us further strengthen our bonds of brotherhood in the Galactic Guardians, knowing that our charge is the greatest in the Metaverse. For Honor and Justice...not just a motto, but a way of life.

Nice speech boss!
Welcome Lien2 - have fun.
Kitantho - I would recommend no more than 5 planets in the early part of the game, and 4 as optimum to keep spending at or near 100% throughout. You're much better off having 4/5 planets with 100% output, than 7/8 at 60-70%. Nice work on the challenging games though.

Good to hear. Probably some form of germ warfare engineered by the Yor - I guess I'll go and give 'em some payback for you.

You always see right through a Yor plot. |
|
They try to be sneaky, but in the end there's no way a machine can outwit a Guardian!

(Gerakken belts down another Torian Tornado trying to look like just another guy at the bar, hoping his nearby hidden cameras catch something neat.) |

Pay no attention to that man by the bar in his black cape, black hood, black armor, black boots with the red glowing eyes...

Nite Attlia.
I've just figured out it will take me 10-11 more maso games to get my shield to turn red.

viral infection and antibiotics? Something sound strange, since virus are immune to antibiotics. Antibiotics won't cure the viral infection but will prevent some infections that might add to the viral one

Standard "practice" for medical people. If you don't know what causes the problem, treat one you do know. |
|
Yes, but it can be desastrous for health insurance and will help microbs to resist antibiotics. In France, there are TV spots explaining why it is normal not to prescribe automatically antibiotics when you are ill.
