That is what is so great about this community. Regardless of age, country or background we all have a great time here with each other. Never had so much fun with game, and half of it has nothing to do with the game.

Precisely. Any generation gaps here are overlooked pretty easily. If there is anyone we do discrimate against, it is the alien races of Galciv. Poor fools. Oh, Theoden, do you have to use those terror stars so liberally? I am sure the Jedi are feeling the vast disturbances in the Force from the screams of hundreds of billions of dying aliens at once all the way in their thread! I think some of your more evil Guardians must be rubbing off on you.

I just got a litterally two minute turn around on an email message to CariElf. Fantistic. Love it when she reponds like that. I sent her a virtual box of chocolates (no damoose, I did not sneak one out for you

).

I had entered a wrong "nickname" on the submit menu. Actually, it should not be a "nickname" but a "player" name. Once it is typed in the only way to remove that name is to remove it from the registry. She gave me the location so I did just that. Should elminate the problem of submitting games that don't show up in the Meta (I have lost about 5 or so of them that way).

Hey guys I am going up to my trailer by the lake for few days so I shall catch up with you on my return.

I suggested to the wife I get a lap top to take camping so I could play Galciv. She was very excited about the idea, but I am no expert on the human body but I am pretty sure a lap top would not fit where she told me to stick it.

Hey guys I am going up to my trailer by the lake for few days

Hey ED, what lake are you near? What to you do when you get ther? My wife and have never figured out how to vacation in one place. We really like traveling from place to place.

Enjoy the weekend. Forget the PC/labtop. In this case I can guarentee that you will be better off without them. If you think that wisdom teeth extraction hurts, wait until you try a laptop from where she suggest it go.

Well, this last game was a real struggle. If you use the Research, Inc. mod, which provides a -70 for defense, etc. Don't, I repeat, DON'T get in a war. I was hitting the mouse button so fast that I missed the unhappy drath and the first I knew it they were trying to board my planet. The did not succeed, but I had to push everything into building ships (that were near worthless - a Dradnaught with a 14 defense

). The nest tactic was to get everyone else to declare war on the drath. That worked and eventualy he gave into my peace offers. Now way behind in tech and population, I play until 2225 or there about and I get an alliance victory. But no 60K, just 59+. Oh well. it was interesting.

I think all this was punshishment for the chaotic evil postion I took when I got greedy in the opening colonization moves. Never could shake that evil morality.

Well, I am at the far end of 40 something...a few months away from receiving my AARP mailing. Of course I have a playstation and my trusty pc to game on/with...

I just turned 40 two months ago and suffered a mid-life crisis that inspired me to take up rock-climbing again. Skydiving might not be far behind - used to like jumping from perfectly good aircrafts back when I was a young'un.
