Your effort should be rewarded Greldon. It is unfortunante that you should have to suffer with this. For someone who has played so many games, and is one of only 3 people to have 2 million points, you shouldn't be so penalized by the system. We need something better.

Wouldn't you lose second place?
Or would you have a new name and keep second place eventually challenging yourself?
| |
|
|
|
Quite.
But as I think about it, Loth lost his old scores when he restarted right? So you would too.
So you can have second place, and give your scores to me and I'll see they are put to good use.
Or you could make a new identity and slowly and painfully work your way back up again.
Or you could buy the game again so you have a new serial number and have two identities. Of course, this really isn't a realistic solution.

One small point abot restarting: you will get rid from the less than 60K games that are in your profile and can be very annoying when others games are in it.
BTW, from days 151, the block are 70 days and no longer 30 days. It means that you can end up with no empty block. It will be the case the 11/10/2004, in less than 4 month, when games from july will move in the block 121-150 days.

Ah! I keep forgetting about that stupid 70 day blocks!
So you have 3 and 1/2 months of annoying scoring failures, but I think you might get a boost when you would rid yourself of the empty block.

The fact you're happy with it doesn't mean it's right either PP. Effort should be rewarded! You should not be shown to be a "worse" player according to the Metaverse because you took a break from playing! |
|
reality check: It is sad to see that being the 2nd player in the metaverse is labeled as "worse" player
And the metaverse don't show that you are good player or not. It just show that your are proficient in submitting continuously high scoring games.

I've asked for Stardock to fix those who's scores aren't degrading. Link Maybe they will run a Meta-wide recalc and fix everyone.

Zero blocks not calculated into the equation. |
|
It is already the case: empty block doesn't give any points. The problem is when a blokc is emptied: before it gives points, after it doens't give anything, so there is a loss.
I had 320 games logged, just submitted a game, and it says I've played 322 games. This has happened to me 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Can you explain this one, Peace? |
|
I can't help you: I understand the math behind metaverse scoring, but I don't have any access to Stardock database to see what is happening.

What I mean is it is ignored complety if there our 10 blocks in the equation. Zero block is thrown out so there our nine blocks total. It is not in the equation at all. Does that make any sense |

Sorry, I don't understand what are you meaning.
