I submitted a Dull Thud and promptly lost 30k points. At this rate, I'll be back to 0 in a few games. 
I think it's time I retired from the game and just disappeared into the mysts of time. I don't have enough time to do anything anymore, mostly because of my job but also a desire to spend more time with my family. And now, watching my score degrade every time I submit a game, I just don't have the fire I once used to. I think I'll be hanging around the forums still, but I just can't bring myself to play the game anymore. The Metaverse is quite simply broken beyond repair. However, the spirit of what has been created lives on...the people here who participate in fun conversation.
This game has truly lasted much longer for me than just about any other I have (with the exception of Star Wars: Rebellion, which I still just can't seem to get rid of!). Perhaps the future of TGN will bring more interest into Stardock's games. But a broken Metaverse just isn't helping their cause.
And so, it is with deep regret that I shall hang up my GalCiv helm and move on to other games. The Political Machine is still kicking my butt in short order, so perhaps concentrating on that will prove to be a challenge.
Again, I'm not going to completely disappear from the forums. But I might spend a little more time in the Dip's hangout than I do over here.

Theoden,
Sad to see you go, but I understand. Please say you'll still be here at the Claw, and in the Halls from time to time. If you find another on line type game, let us know and maybe some of us will join you there. I still may get into Pol Machine once the Meta is created there.

I can understand why you are saying enough's enough. Glad to hear you will still be around.
But now we have got to fix this thing for next time around. GalCivII has got to have something better.

Thanks for all your efforts Theoden. It was your attitude and obvious desire to create a vibrant community that drew me to the Galactic Guardians in the first place.

Goodbye Theoden, it was good having you, helped me get and stay interested once I truly got into the game. I'm still gonna try to churn one out at least 2-3 times a week, but other games are distracting me recently, hopefully a slow and steady will be able to put me on page one eventually.
