Maybe a competant government, can anyone think of one?

Republic of Tim, wher I govern over myself. Seems to work ok, but the pesky uber government (parents) tend to ge in the way.

Maybe its Bush's Czar intelligence agency trying a few things out.

#15383  by Citizen littlewotts_ - 8/7/2004 10:23:56 PM

Don't wanna open this can of worms, but Bush and Intelligence don't belong in the same sentence.

Just because someone has different views than you doesn't make them stupid.

#15386  by Citizen littlewotts_ - 8/7/2004 10:31:38 PM

Well, I don't have much confidence in many of the goverment officials, and less when they don't convey a sense of understanding and wisdom. I'm sure he's pretty smart, he wouldn't be where he's at if he wasn't. I guess I just don't trust him.

That is what comes up all too often when Bush is talked about. I don't think anyone who supports him is stupid, and I can understand why someone would want to support him, but I never could. He just gives off this aura of "Hey, I'm the President, I can do whatever I want." He's taken more vacation than anyone else by a substantial margin, and he goes after anyone who HE thinks is a threat, or could make him look better. I would have had no problem with the invasion of Iraq if it was by a UN task force, but Bush decided that he just had to have it his way, and decided to defy world peace to make himself look better.

That is how I see it anyway.

Well right now I'm still holding out for a good independent! Bush and Kerry are really lousy choices.
Ultra conservative or ultra-liberal.

Yep. I'd like to see CNN start going after third-party people and interviewing them. I bet the multi-party system here would take off. Then we would start getting serious candiates.

Hmmm...on another note, since I updated to SD Central build 60 I've been getting an unusual number of error messages. Anyone else notice this?

I keep hoping but the recent third, fourth, etc party people have seemed to be even less centrist.

Yeah.

What kind of errors?

#15393  by Citizen Moser_Alchemist - 8/7/2004 11:09:27 PM

initially after upgrade and restart, it loaded, CTD after going to "games" and fail to reload even after XP restarted. I then "restored" and since then I get more "page unfound errors" when using web browser. From the history file, it would appear that another build is nearly ready and this might have been a stop gap.

#15394  by Citizen littlewotts_ - 8/7/2004 11:10:52 PM

Hmmm...I haven't had that problem. I would uninstall and reinstall it.

I'm using vers. 2.00.294, build: 60

Well I just finished reinstalling. So far so good. It seems that once in awhile files get corrupted during upgrades. Its really hard to tell if its a problem with the build or just my version of it. Thanx!

Thats the thing I don't like about Bush his "I'll do whatever I want to do and stuff the rest of you" attitude. Which reminds me of an old joke. Why did the Israilies ignore George Bush in the First Gulf war?

The last time they listened to a talking bush they were in the wilderness for 40 years

Congrats Guardians on 16mil!

If anyone talks with Cyber Nano can you ask him if his last name "Nano" is supposed to be an anagram for "anon" as in anonymous. I ask because his name field is blank on his profile. I didn't know if this is a coincidence or intentional. Looks like #15400 is wide open, take it someone.
