HOOOO-WEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! my roommate bought some Molson XXX beer. It's 7.3% rather than the standard 5% and it's awesome. Has a slightly different flavor than the regular Molson, but it's great. I hope there's more than just this one.

LW, this is an official Canadian warning to our USA friends. Please heed this carefully.

Canadian beer contains 1.5 to 2.5 % more alcohol than most american beer. This can be considered dangerous to americans if they drink the Canadian beer in the same quantities as americian beer.

The Canadian beer that has 7.3% is can be considered to be dangerous to Canadians if drank in the same quantities as our 5% beer.

So, when our USA friends drink this Canadian beer that is 7.3% we need to remind you that this beer will leave you feeling like satan was using your head as a drum the next morning and contiplating death for yourself and your Canadian friends for making that vile beer.

Now that you have been warned I will send you over our disclaimer for you to sign that removes us from any liability.

Thanks! If you look around at the forums and the altmeta, there are still probably at least 100 players or so here. If we could just get everyone to participate...

Knights, I made a suggestion in the Knights area at t he Embassy about metals. Any comments besides Naqmir?

A week or so ago. Finally got tired of the yoyo scoring. No point in submitting games if he will never benifit from it.

Yes, while I have some friends that also enjoy HOMM and fantasy titles I don't really know anyone that played MoO or MoO2. I think the absence of a decent manual is the only reason I even discovered the Forums.

Perhaps, a thread in the Galactic Forum (again) would help steer people to the Empire Forums. A home page reference might also help. An updated FAQ is really a must but I believe Gal Civ2 has become the 600 pound gorilla in the SD environ.

I moved up a spot, but it was because Theoden's score aged.

Has anyone else thought that having the (Retired) after the names of Guardians when nobody else does it might not be such a great idea? Or am I just parinoid?

I'd hate to give the impression that we are a retired empire.

Just because you're parinoid doen't mean they aren't after you

I don't think it matters much.

There is that

It's just because Greldon and Naqmir are both in the top 5, so everyone sees them right off the bat. I guess that you and ED will have to fix that...

I like the idea of Retired. I think the meta should designate active and inactive players itself. That way you can see the real players and filter out the dead wood. (no offence to our old retired folk) Who cares how many players once belong to an empire you should be able to see how many players are currently active. Make things alot more interesting as far as races go if could filter out the retired players from empire totals and individual standing races.

I support the idea of Guardian's leading the way and designating themselves retired. That way you don't have to click on them to see if they our active or not when your moving up on someone.

Long live the empire.

I would be fine with that. I just don't want to give the impression that the Guardians are more inactive than the rest of the meta. I guess the real question is, what designates a player as inactive? No games for 30 days? 2 months? When the player says so? Where do you draw the line?

#15973  by Citizen Evil Druid - 9/2/2004 5:05:22 PM

30 days would be the natural line. You could move from the inactive to active role at anytime just by submitting a game and you would never get there as long as you submitted a game once every 30 days. Might even encourage players not to retire completely.

I don't think anyone who took a look at the forums would ever think we were an inactive empire. The player list is full of inactive players which anyone can see by clicking on names. I wonder what percentage of active players to inactive is.
