Assume the cut off for the month for the altmeta is the same as the meta

My favorite cartoon of all time was Hong Kong Phooey from the 70,s. I use to have to get up 7:00 AM on saturdays to watch it, and I did.

My fave has always been Heckle and Jeckle. Although I too love foghorn, and yosemite sam, and the "Kill de wabbit opera", and Marvin the Martian. When I was about 5, I remember my first exposure to anime was Speed Racer. [Edit: I originally wrote Seed racer!!! , I'm sure the foundies can come up with something for that!]

BOOM! for 22K out of 60K submission. Not bad and it puts me over the 2M mark.

2 Million

Great but you only passed 2 million once. Greldon did it at least 3 time.s

Number 2 is only a small jump away now. Sometime this month for sure.

BOOM! for 4735 points. Now let's see, at 5K per game, which is a streatch, and 80K points to go, that is at least 16 games and at 2 per day, that is week after next most likely.

A FIRST for the Meta - the Guardians is the only empire that has members that have crossed the 2M mark 4 times - once for me and 3 times for Greldon. Also another FIRST - the only empire with two people over 2M.

BOOM! and another 4773 to my Meta score out of 60K. Three for the day. Too tired to continue.

I figure that I have about 2 weeks to get 1 million. That is a milestone I am looking forward to. I expect that chipperoo will pass me on the way there.

Does not matter, I will slow him down with 9 Canadian beers. C'mon Chip lets go for a drink and deep fried peperonnis!

Chip I'm in your time zone remember and still booming away. Newfy is not in our time zone so he is up late drinking beers and eating deep fried peperonni's again.

I'm always game for a few brewski's...

As far as pepperoni's go, I used to manage a bunch of Domino's Pizza's, and learned that if you cook them by themselves, they get crispy and lose that greasiness. (Yum Yum!!)

Of course, since I am currently an "Unsnacked Guardian" I am reluctant to submit to the whims of an undead (former or otherwise) without a bit more understanding of the LOCATION and TIME (MY local time) of the gatherings (Hint Hint).

Of course, I have yet to be "officially" issued my shield (Or have I?) to "whack" the moose, so I may still not be able to attend without risking some involuntary weight loss!

I am sorry to dissapoint you, but simulation shows that posting a near 60K game every 2 day (like you do currently) will allow to cross the 1M line on the 10/27/04. If you go to a game every day, it becomes the 10/18/04

Chip,
You have the shield, it is the Guardian Shield. You can pick up your Yor Armored Butt Protector under the moose head. Wack it first before bending over.

I think I may play a few games and maybe break that one million mark myself. I have 2 great starts saved on my machine, just haven't played them out yet.

My experience is that good starts really help, especially if you want to win in 2090. Otherwise you will have to play until 2092 or 93 to move the reluctant AI. Of course, there is the "elimination" route that works well.

Have a looksie at my profile really quick. I usually don't finish a game before 2200 and they take 2+ hours.

Been there too. When I started playing, I took more than 8 hours to finish a game.

Beacuse I'm playing Large maps, I go a little further on the tech tree to get all the wonders/trade goods I can. That's just in case blasting all of the AI back to the heavens isn't enough.
