I drink plenty of Diet Coke. I switched from regular Coke about 3 months ago. And I only drink water at work.

After hockey tonight was talking a twenty something player who's entire word view was based on watching Fahrenheit 911. Hopefully I gave him a little balance. Well at least the beer was cold. Use to be the enemy made the prodaganda films. |

I don't think I've ever seen so much division politically in this country. I'm just young enough to not have seen the late 60's stuff (I was 4 in 1968), but this seems to be getting close to that in bitterness and verbal attacks if not in violence. The funny part is, the canidates are so amazingly close on what they want to do (or what they say they want), yet there are so many people that have such sharp opinions and hatreds. I don't know, but I feel like this whole year has been a "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain" kind of thing. We are so wrapped up in the rhetoric that I think we must be missing something else...

I've been watching to many post-apocalyptic shows lately. Each one has it's smattering of philosophy, and You always come up with the same result - humans are almost a plauge upon the Earth. Why are we still here? Does being the dominant/sentient species give us the right to destroy our home?
