Hail brother Guardians! I salute you!

I want to let you all know that I have probably posted my last game. I've started at least 3 different times, but I just can't bring myself to play one out any more. My interest could return after a while, but with the way the Metaverse scoring is, I don't see myself fighting my way back. And as for the scoring chase, it's 50K to catch Capt Jack in 24th, and I'm only getting a couple of thousand a game, when I'm not going backwards.

It's been a good run. I accomplished much of what I set out to do. I got my Pure Evil Smiley and Crip shield. Made it to page 1 and 100+ games without resorting to Maso. Even managed to post a large 60K game without Maso.

I still enjoy the forums and the company of the Guardians, as well as the many friendships made in other empires, and plan to be around on the forums as much as I have been. I hope you all will let me hang around and chat even though I've hung up my Greldonizer.

Thought I would check on the Air Force issue mentioned above. see LinkThe U.S. Air Force as well as the U.S. Navy warned their pilots off aspartame in their journals. From FLYING SAFETY, MAY, l992: (USAF)

Wow! I thought I was some kind of exception. I can't drink diet drinks with aspartame. When it first came out, I drank a lot of Diet Pepsi and Diet iced tea with it. After about a year, I started getting bad headaches from it and stopped. Now when I try, it makes me very dizzy, disoriented, and makes me feel like the inside of my head is ichy or something. I thought I just developed an allergy to it.

Hey Guardians, we are all special in our own way. ED walks on water only because he knows where the rocks are.

Or as someone said of Bush when he was out fishing with the press on the Presidential Yaught and someone in the boat a 100 yards away got into trouble. Captain of the Yaught wanted to put in the dingy and go help them, but President Bush said, no just wait here. He jumped out of the Yaught and walk across the water and help the people in the boad and then walked back. Headlines the next morning in the papers: "President Bush Can't Swim!"

No, I overslept and barely got to work on time. I will make up for it this evening after work - afer I go get my flu shot. My wife has a board meeting this evening so she won't be home until late - so plenty of time to play.
