LW, someday I will go to Alaska for just that reason. I love looking at the pictures in Astronomy magazine that readers send in of the "Northern Lights". Never seen them personally, but that is one of the things I'll someday cross of the "got to do in my life" list.

Tonight was the first time I've ever seen them, and it was a far cry form the pictures I see. I'm wanting to travel to Alaska or borther parts of Canada for that same reason.

Yup... I saw them last night and again this morning. Very, very cool. Not a bright as they are further north, but this is probably only the 3rd time I've seen them since I moved to my current place of residence.

Excellent!! I was only able to see two very faint wisps stretching from the north to to south. Since my house is almost in the downtown area of the city I live in, the light pollution was really washing them out. Coming up tonight is a meteor shower!

I had 2 events in my last game. Actually the same event but it happend twice. The Terrans found some precursor corvetts. 3 to be exact. Then the torians found some percurson corvettes. 100 to be exact. It happened about 12 turns apart. This has probably happened before but I never put enough money into spying to be able to see there list of ships, until now. I was conducting a strike on there planents when this happened. I took 2 easily and was going for the last. Then comes these 100 corvettes screeming at me. I sued for peace, took my fair share or his corvettes, wiped him out in the next turn and it was bye-bye to the rest of his ships. I guess my question is 1. have you guys seen this before? or 2. did it happen because I was kicking his a$$? Or is it a random thing that dosen't rely on what is happening at the current time in the galaxy?

Too bad, the precursor corvettes event is random and isn't avoided with spying (contrary to diplomatic blunders)

Previous discussions on loading time. I am noticing slow loading on all forums, not just ours. I think the server is over loaded. What else is running on this server, can anyone tell?

joeuser has been running slow too. Maybe they are the same server or feed
