LW, I just noticed that the link that is shown on our current web site is, I think, a link to the embassy (The embassy that is down, NOT the back-up embassy).
I recall that either Mace or PP asked us to not visit until they have worked things out. Maybe I'm being paranoid, I just want the site up ASAP, and would feel bad if we were in some way to delay that from happening.
Maybe we should consider having it bumped here, to the Claw, until the new site is up and running?

EDIT:
Maybe this would help guys like murgatroid make contact with us as they wouldn't have to "sign up" for anything. Just a thought.

"Paladin" Did this ship come from a mod I put in or was it a part of a Stardock patch? Hell of a ship, my personnal favorite. But it seems you have to have a "good" morality to get it. Which is also fine 'cause thats the way I play. Just worried that if it was from a mod and I set the alien AI to neutral or evil, which I do, it maybe considered... unfair. I have read in other threads about accusations of cheating and what not and people leaving the game. If I am doing something I am not supposed to do please tell me so I can stop. I have galciv writer but I have only used it to renumber the SB's so they all show up. I haven't touched the ships/techs/imps, or anything else. Thanks Guys.

Paladin is a ship in AP.

Is it true it is only available to good players and where would it fall in the pecking order. If true only good, does evil have a ship of its own.

Dreadnought, Avatar, overloard, Excalibur

#18007  by Citizen Cetane - 11/15/2004 3:08:48 PM

ED, huh? It comes with the Dreadnought, Soverign comes with Ranger I think. I have never seen a evil only ship. I never play evil, even at the beginning of the game. I do set AI to evil but I have not seen them use a evil only ship. Could it be that these two ships are for balance for the goodies evils get in the game (PQ/Morale/etc)?

#18008  by Citizen Evil Druid - 11/15/2004 3:28:48 PM

Oh, it comes with Dreadnought Tech. I get it, I thought the tech tree had changed.

Just checked, no new ship at neutral I can see. I'm usually neutral by Dreadnought.

Back to your original question, Evil gets so many bonus's I cannot see how your Palidin would tip the scales in favour of being good. Stardock added it so they must have brought it in to add balance, not upset the balance.

I believe the evil only ships are the Vampire and the Wraith. This is to balance the Paladin and the Soveriegn.

BOOM

Thats what I was thinking. It added balance, not took away. I do have a mod that adds battle defense ship to the list of ships all can get. I think it was one of Icho's. I am thinking about taking that one out. I don't build them but the AI do. Makes invasion difficult with Reasearch Inc's penalties. My games typically go to 2195 - 2198 range so I try to make alliances quick and invade the rest.

I am thinking about putting in the saint pack to go good quicker. with rare habitibility you have to wait years for enough randoms to get you there. Like I said before though I wanted to make sure it wasn't considered cheating so there aren't rumors concerning my game submission.

Time to go get the kids. Back in a bit.

Never seen the vampire or wraith. I will look now though. Thanks Chip.

It i GalCiv approved mod, so it is not cheating.

BOOM! Must terminate more Yor so Tech cannot grow a colony of commedian Roys

See ya Sat.

BOOM! Bring the Yor on...I just noticed in the Roygun manual that the Roygun has a reverse polarity setting on it that when fired on Yor (instead of Roy) turns thier whole army/fleet around and makes them attack while facing backwards!!!

Imagine the havoc just one army/fleet could cause. We fire our Roygun enhanced main weapons and watch as they turn around, walk/fly backwards TOWARD US, and fire AWAY from us at thier own soldiers/fleet!!!

This could save us a few BC in Terror Stars I think (I've always been a fan of a straight fight instead of all that sneakin' around with TS's).

Hmmmm, I think this setting requires more development. I just tried it on one of my captives, the effect was nil. PB, do I have a prototype here, or is this another one of Roys deceptions?

BOOM Dedication to team or what. Who else stays up till 1 am to get a game in on a week night.

Nearly lost the use of my mouse hand at hockey tonight. Puck got my fingers on the wrong side of my blocker which has next to zero protection. Blood bruise a rising, I'm lucky nothing broke.

I used to play goalie in soccer, but I don't think I would want the position in hockey. In soccer you can see the ball. Not sure what a puc looks like at 120 miles per hour.

Weyr, having worked all night in his secret lab has incorporated the new information about Yor reproduction into an amazing new product that is guarenteed to clean up the Yor problem (and the Roy problem too). Weyr transported to me, PB, his new product to try out. It is liquid Yor detergent. In not only can be used in your dishwasher to clean your dishes, but if you give it to Fondation Roy lovers as a present they use it to keep their Roy clean. The secret in the liquid Yor is that it will turn antoher Yor into liquid as well. So, as the Tech is cleaning his Roy, it melts into a liquid yellow puddle at his feet. Just don't embarras him if you see him standing in a yellow puddle
