Austin is a beautiful city....I moved here in 1976 and have never wanted to leave.

We don't just do cows, some of our immediate neighbors to the east will cook up some fresh roadkill, so that kangaroo will be easy!

Actually, here kangaroo is finding it's way on to restaurant menus as something of a delicacy. It's taken a while though - some people found it tough to bring themselves to eat the national symbol! Um...bald eagle drumsticks, anyone?

How is it that Austin is the capital, when (to outsiders) other cities seem to get more publicity? I can think of the Houston Astros and the Dallas Cowboys - I think most non-Americans would think one of those cities would be the State capital?

But for the barbecue spare ribs you'll need to come to Kansas City for that.
Hello all. Since I've been lurking about today, and never posted on your thread before, I'd thought I'd say hello.

Austin isn't actually that big a city. It's pretty much the rule in the United States that the capital city is not actually a major city, particularly in states with large populations. For example, the captial of California is Sacramento and the capital of New York is Albany.

Ah, that is funny! I lived in Dallas for a while and I can tell you, it is nothing like Austin. Austin is just small town enough that you like it, but big city enough to where you can find what you need.

Funny, I always thought that San Antonio would be acceptable as the state capital. Makes sense, given it's history. Oh well...

All Guardians, and the SpyMaster.....I know he's lurking around here somewhere!

Lurking right now, just starting to process the large quantity of posts today. So a nice drink in the Guardian's Grog should hit the spot.

Seems like we have 5 silent members.

They are submitting games, just not participating in the forums. That's unfortunate.

Time for me to leave. I'll see if I can tear myself away from playing a little this weekend to stop by and torment everyone with my inane banter.

Good night, Guardians!

If ever there were a time that I hate the Yor the most, it would be when they get the "Die Humans" event. On the other hand, I get to kill that many more of them.

They fit so neatly in my cross-hairs.

Absolutely.......and when properly executed leave very little unsightly residue.

Do 60K games not decay?

#2172  by Citizen Greldon - 2/27/2004 8:41:30 PM

AFAIK all games do....which means my 4,835 points will be less tomorrow.

#2173  by Veteran Grand_Admiral_Thrawn - 2/27/2004 8:50:31 PM

I just don't see anything for any of your 60K games gone.

The scores themselves don't change. Their total value when put together into the actual metaverse score is what goes down.
