Is that what I'm supposed to do, PBP? Or maybe I could just say this:Dear Captain Jack:I need to think of something witty to write 15 posts in a row about. What should I do?Sincerely,PontiusBruinPilot |

Is this an attempt at being witty or pathetic?

Terl launched with a small squadron to scout the Yor colony at Westerfeld. They had refitted the small Battle Axes to look like Yor ships using various panels and extra blinking lights, always fascinating to the Yor, and fitted the ships to replay GNN broadcasts in the Yor language. The ruse worked as the ships neared Westerfeld space.
Terl noticed a starbase to his left and recognized the Yor markings. Never one to miss an opportunity, Terl radioed his comrades and redirected the squadron toward the starbase. "Quick and painless, mates, quick and painless. We'll dock like we belong and hit them hard. We could use this base in the future." Terl briefed his men.
The ships were assigned docking spaces close to one another. They berthed the ships and armed themselves. There were no resources nearby and the base had no mining rigs so they were quite sure it was merely an orbital factory or perhaps just a science station. The crews left the ships cautiously and entered the docking bay proper. There was a lone guard at the west end with his back turned to them. He appeared to be watching a GNN broadcast. Terl crept closer so as to not alert the guard. As he neared, he realized the guard was in fact watching the Xasica Entertainment Network. "Geez, these clowns are watching our stuff," he thought to himself. Terl took out his incapacitator, a small electronic device that fired a low level of EMP when pressed to the target. The things were great at taking out Yor. He was now close enough to strike. He pressed the incapacitator to the Yor guard's neck. There was a brief tremor as the electromagnetic waves pulsed through the Yor's circuits and then nothing; just a limp piece of junk lay on the floor.
Having secured the docking bay, the men moved to the main corridors. They looked out the doors to survey the corridor. There was nothing to their left, on the right, however they saw a Yor pleasure-bot, the Sump Pump Susie model, walking down the corridor away from them. "This is going to be easier than we thought, mates," Terl announced to his men. "This ain't nothing but a morale station. We'll take 'er easy and give her to the construction guys. In a couple weeks we'll have us a fine Terror Star. Let's roll."
After mere minutes the station was secured and in Guardian hands. Terl's men rested briefly as they prepared to scout the planetary defenses ahead of Greldon, Theoden, and Lothmorg's arrival. The main fleet was due in just over a day. They had better get moving....

This is pretty disturbing, MC! I'm starting to worry about you!

|
Thanks Theoden.
Ive noticed that The scores I have submitted are higher then my total score in the metervse ranking, is this normal.
Could someone explain to me the scoring system and why it does this, or give me a link were I can. Is there a cap on the amount of games you can submit in a day, and your score starts to be lowered.

I have a weird sence of humor sometimes, and it can get pretty disturbing.

There is a formula for calculating your score. The basic formula is total number of points divided by sqrt total number of games.
Your scores are:
3970
4380
3790
3910
3932
4360
______
total: 24342
24342/sqrt 6=9938 Metaverse Points
Now, it gets really interesting when you pass 30 days, because the scores begin to degrade...really, the scoring system around here is quite complicated. I usually just play games and see what my scores comes out to. I try not to concentrate too much on my score, it hurts my head too much!

Pah! It's practically self-evident! Your overall score is based on your scores within self-contained thirty day blocks. Within these blocks, your score is equal to the total of all your games within the block added together, divided by the square root of the number of games within the block. This is then multiplied by 100% minus 5% times the number of blocks that have elapsed since that block, and the combined total of all these blocks is your overall score. Simplicity itself!

There is a thread about this in the help and support section in the Senate Halls

You might also want to take a look at this thread Link in the Galactic Forum.
