its one big Party.. .. the StarFleet Party.

Note: StarTrek (the series) was designed to bring to our attention the ubpopular, scandilous, never talked about, Ideas, Problems, travisties, and goings on in the world in a comical, Sci-Fi way.. and it was very successfull in talking about things that really mattered in an inconsequential way that DID and still DOES effect EVERYONE (yes.. even non-trek fans) every day in every way.. providing hope for the future

StarFleet now has a "prime directive"

PD1: empire chat shall me likited to this forum
PD2: help others and try to get them to follow the Prime directive
PD3: To lead by example in following the Prime Directive
PD4: We come in peace..... (shoot to kill)
PD5: there is never a no win situation.. everything is covered by the prime directive and your own skills, imagination and will to succeed

more PD's to follow as the need arises.

Hey... I liked Nemesis. I wish that they would do a DS9 Movie. Bring Sisko back! (and the original Dax... but I guess that can't happen either )

#9  by Veteran Grand_Admiral_Thrawn - 2/9/2004 11:04:02 PM

I wish that they had ended Voyager with a movie. That last episode was such a dissappointment, and I liked that series a lot. Nemesis was pretty good, but I liked First Contact, because "The line must be drawn HERE! and I will make them PAY for what they have done!" But the best by far was Wrath of Kahn. And will someone please make sure Kirk is dead?!

Voyager was too weak, the scripting was awful and Janeway couldn'y act ABT. Plus chakotay didn't really look like a battle hardened resistance fighter. Now tores....[need naughty emoticon]

But the best by far was Wrath of Kahn

Yep. Or maybe the undiscovered country. Its got to be one of the two but they're both so good I can't choose between them

And will someone please make sure Kirk is dead?!

Sure, no probs. Back in a min

I wish that they would do a DS9 Movie. Bring Sisko back!

Just think of what they could do with a film about the dominion war? All those battles in ground and space!!! It could be so cool

I have got to agree with you on DS9. That would be a great movie, but Frakes would direct it, and then it would suck i.e. Star Trek IX (can't think of the name). And while the scripting was not the best on Voyager, it was good with what they did with it. And there were good actors on there, and Kate Mulgrew is not that bad. And you are right on Undiscovered Country, except for the Klingon Shakespeare.

Sorry to intrude, but is that Star Trek mod actually being worked on? It seems rather comatose right now. And I was looking forward to sending out swarms of Galaxy Class battleships to wreak havoc against those evil cardassians . BTW, if the Evil Empire should ever get disbanded, this'll be the empire I go to. (I'm thinking the name Gene Luck Pickhard)

To be honest, I didn't start watching Star Trek until Voyager. I liked it a lot. Thats why I ended up buying all the box sets (@$100 a set) to TNG and DS9. (Thats $1400 by the way ) After seeing all the series, (excluding TOS) I have to say that I liked DS9 the best but Voyager was close for me. I liked the Intrepid Class ship. (I even built and painted one of those big models of Voyager) I hope that a new Star Trek series comes out that is set in the future. I watch Enterprise but... I just wish they would have done something else OR stuck more closely with the Star Trek timeline. I have a feeling Enterprise is just going to be some "Time travel/never happened" thing.

Time travel? Star Trek has NEVER used time travel. Just ask anyone from the Enterprise-C.

And the foul language is horrendous, I never heard Admiral Pickard or Capt Kirk cursing the way they have done here in Enterprise

I just like to think of it as the people in the other series (which took place later in time than Enterprise) were just more sophisticated and didn't use that kind of language anymore.

But.. forget the language. I like all the new "booby shots" of T'pol. (hehehe )

Hmm, I liked the older shows a lot (original and next generation). I've not seen the newer ones...

Has to be DS9 and Next Gen for me. The best episode ever has to be the two-parter all good things ... ...to an end must come

I would, except I have a strong sense of loyalty, even to make believe things that I'm part of. And for the record, the best episode of all time is the two parter Best of Both Worlds.

I agree with Exar and Fulgrymm. Best of Both Worlds and All Good Things...(the exact name, I believe, and someone correct me if I am wrong) were the best episodes of star trek ever written. And I would like to say that the last episode of Voyager was one of the worst. Horrible ending (I know I have already said this).
