We ended up with a peaceful victory for the Federation.. I saw a new movie for the allied victory never seen it before. Having a blast but need to begin to raise the difficulty if I am ever to catch your million!

I havn't got a bnner/advert for my site.. I'm hopeless at graphics as the graphic logo on the site testifies.. (made online from one of those banner maker sites)

I've answered your msgs on TIBI ..

At the moment i'll give the newsletter a miss as I already have a platefull of stuff to do.. to much for a mere mortal to do in 24hours a day

 Same here my plate is overflowing in fact. Beta testing a remake of an old favorite of mine M.U.L.E. now called H.O.R.S.E. If you ever heard of it or played they did a great job.

Thanks.. I am glad I joined Star Fleet and we could know each other. Long live the Empire! (Almost a Klingon thing )

I am hopeless at graphics, PHP, MySql, HTML installing mods for my site.. I could use a good school to attend but not really into sitting through that at my age.

Brad is a Bush supporter which shocked me! Its cool though he is a terrific talented person makes no difference to me. Appartently it does to him thou

How apparently does it matter to him I read some of your posts over there Desert Fox. I think the majority of people outside the US agree with your world view. We need to move forward from the mess we are in and it would be eaiser with a change.

Exalted Druid (Active) You are right of course.. what bothered me is that we had been contacting each other through email before. Now I send email he does not reply at all.

Oh well I still like my point of view it is more accurate. It is a mess and the United States under Bush did it. Uh oh I better shut up!

No kidding Admiral Qwerk, I RARELY run across anyone that has heard of MULE let alone play it. I have a bunch of gamers like sub trader.

On one other thing, if I bump up the difficulty one notch that will increase my end score quite a bit correct?

Yup, not sure exact amount though.

My mantra is "avoid politics when ever possible". Its a totally useless exercise to argue or debate with others. I do my own research and vote for persons not parties. Parties are the bane of government.

Desert is a brave man talking politics at that site. Does not appear anyone is the least bit open minded so there is little point putting out your point of view only to get thrashed by those with the opposing views.

Thank goodness we have this online community where the only political debate is which political party is the best to choose to win your style of game.

#759  by Diplomat Blue_Steel - 10/13/2004 9:03:07 PM

As the saying goes... Topics to stay away from are Religon,Politics and my Wife....

My vote goes to My Party.. the Supreemes
(yes I have my own political party in AP/Galciv)
Don't forget all partys in AP/Galciv effect everyone including all AI's.. if you make a political party the AI's can and will cxhoose it as well so the playing field is only modified by your individual modifiers

Your wife... Okay I will not go there.. Yeah I used to hate both subjects things change when your home with nothing to do. Politics I like but do what Moser does I research the person to hell with parties I am independent minded so I call myself an independent voter.

Next game I will start tomorrow bump it up one notch. If I ever hope to reach a million quicker then JT Qwerk I got get busy!

Steve... join us.... You'll fit right in.. and you and I do go back a long way in GalCiv.. and have both been emperors of the same empire before.. I'm going to stay with this one no matter what happens.. So please join us.. you know you want to..

This is an open invitation to anyone else who wants to join too.. especially those from the old ANZAC Empire (Lest we forget)

that saying came about.. in another topic somewhere... in it they were asking what to talk about in pubs.. hence the 3 topics to stear clear of..

Hey no recruiting my team mates!

ahhh hell, Go ahead and try

the ones that stay want to, the ones that leave were just visiting!

I was thinking that it would be better if you Qwerk and Desert Fox joined the Foundation.

The Foundation is SciFi based and we could use your dedication.

#767  by Diplomat Blue_Steel - 10/14/2004 8:59:18 AM

Why not join us then.. if we are so dedicated... I did offer prior to you guys forming yet another empire.. and did warn of the forseen and now in place conseqwuences...

All its done is vastly increassed the lead that the Gal Gard has on the rest of the empires...

I hate to say it.. but I told you so...

(only kidding.. it was a nice try...) and yea anyone who frequents our message areas are open game to try and recruit after all you are tapped intro our broadcast...

and Newfy.. you too were once in my empire.. you know just how dedicated I am.. and that I'm here to stay

Don't forget there is no such thing as a no win situation

#770  by Citizen Moser_Alchemist - 10/14/2004 12:02:13 PM

Or you guys could all join the Aldarians who now have 2 millionaires!

But seriously, I still believe that is better to have more than 2 or 3 empires with active members.

#771  by Veteran Cosmic Fox - 10/14/2004 1:47:58 PM

Be better if there were like 20-50 of them active. Frankly I do not understand why not many are playing nor making Mods, scenarios or campaigns.

The Federation life is the only way to go! We go boldly where no Galciv players have gone before.

DF, it is because Galciv is a very old game now. Most games last 3 months before people move on to something new. 6 months is long for a game to hang around let alone 1.5 years.

Now a days a game that lasts a long time usually has a large multi player community.

Galciv has a large community that is tied together by the metaverse. From what I have read AP has not hit the stores yet because of the Strategy First situation.

Once AP hits the stores then maybe there will be a resurgence in the players.

I think most of the new players coming to Galciv are hearing about it from word of mouth. Then again what do I know ...
