It's been a long time, and it seems this is the only empire where I find some familiar names after being away for a few months

Yes, inactivity has struck the forum. And some have changed their name (Weyrleader is now PassingBye). You may find some fellow members in the guardian empire (PassingBye) or the Foundation (like Matthew Downie)

However I wouldn't be such a good bridge officer since I hardly ever play now

Well, it depends if you decide to stay away of the forum or not. The IBH has some policies to remove inactive players

in Starfleet.. Your membership will only be removed on 4 proviso's

1. you ask you be removed
2. you have yet to post a score or post msgs (ie: 0 score) and you've been in starfleet for 2 months
3. You have a HUGE score.. eg: like waylander .. and just park yourself in Starfleet not submitting games just to negate the active players scores with your aging penaltys..
4. Conduct unbecomming a starfleet officer.. eg: cheating,swearing,abuse in the forums

thats it...

if your scores are average or small you won't be kicked from starfleet.. on the contrary.. Ifd you ask we'll help you anyway we can to improve your game play and enrich your experience with Galciv.. All you have to do is ask...

We are always saddened to see anyone leave starfleet as we treat all our members as family.. This is the StarFleet way...

Well, actually I don't have as much time as I had before. So I don't know how will be my participation level.
I'll see for a while how things go, and if I manage to work, study, participate here and play, then I'll seriously reconsider

It was an oversight trust me Mayito will be back to Star Fleet.

He is one of my best friends and I am sure it was just a sudden urge he had and I suspect he will be back. (He better anyways

)

He is into sci-fi like I am what other Empire would be better then Star Fleet!

I have been busy with my new website getting it ready to transfer the data from the one we are running now over to IntegraMOD.

Reference as chipendale is actual player is Chipperoo .. he is submitting games like crazy.. and we are swappinbg places in the top25 list regularly..

the reference to Mr Squatty is to Scotty on startrek.. where he 's telling the kirk that the erngins and the ship can't take any more and that its about to explode...

(man its bad when you have to explain the comedic material...

and yes I know that you never should explain.. and that if people don't get it to ignore them...

My favorite Star Trek quip is when scotty confesses that he always overestimated the repair time so he could finish in less time and look good. Well that and the whole multi-legged creature on your shoulder bit!
