See my post #20 for the basic rules; there aren't going to be many more than that - nobody's calling me anal . One point: do people even WANT to see individual player scores, if kkid can do it? I'd be just as happy to see alliance scores only in each catagory - it IS about teamwork rather than individual glory, and you can always see your glory reflected in the normal Metaverse board.

Great work guys. I wish the real world worked this well. Man, this has come a long way in a couple of hours. I went to work at like post 35. Now look where we are at. And best of luck to everyone.

I can't wait for this to take off. I agree with the ideas so far about not limiting players who are tenacious. I have a feeling that a lot of us will not be sleeping much in March.

Some of us are not getting sleep now.

As stated before, this is not about personal glory, it's about the teamwork and alliances. Besides, my wife is upset with me enough already for ignoring her.

I agree there. Save the personal glory for the Meta. The dedicated players well know who they are already from the first few pages of the Meta. I agree there should be no submission cap, but there is a valid point that non-maso players in the alliances have no chance when compared to maso/suicidal players. In the heavyweight division, it is strictly going to come down to how many 60K games the members can plunk down. Therefore, there should at least two categories: One for the team that can carry the weight in total points, likely a team stacked with maso players, and one that counts only the sub-maso points in each team.

I have no problem with the no submission cap: I want to be sure that everybody was aware of some particularity of maso category .
I think that it is better to see these kinds of things before starting the tournament.

Ok, being the database guy on the statbot,

kasualkid - you'll need to tweak the scripts anyway - there's a new play level that is recorded as "suicidal" above maso.....my suicidal wins are not getting treated as masos....

Alex,

Yes, i am aware of the suicidal issue in the Statbot. I will not be able to effectively address that before this weekend. That shouldn't factor into the "Clone Wars" anyway - different scripts.

Thanks for keeping me on my toes!

Stranded on an uninhabited planet in an unexplored system, you contemplate the foolish choices you’ve made.

The space pirates are not amused. After a brief battle, you and other survivors surrender. The marauders give you a choice. You can either be dropped off on Scowbo II or sold into slavery. What is your decision?

a) Your mother once told you that Scowbo II was a fate worse than death. You opt for slavery. Go to post #12 in the Inter-Empire Political Discussion thread.

b) Freedom or slavery - an obvious choice in your opinion. You look forward to a vacation on Scowbo II. Go to post #205 in THE STARDOCK FANCLUB thread.
