Independence day for Pomarje

After 10 months being a protectorate of the mighty European Alliance, the people of Pomarje decided to recover their freedom.
Former Duke Aldebert had resigned from his seat at the Alliance Senate a few days before.
In every system of this small french-speaking sector at the edge of the galaxy, huge fires were lit with megatons of paper forms from the imperial administration.
Emperor G-Force has not been informed yet, but it is highly unlikely that this small secession would deserve his attention.

Careful, you may start a string of defections. Look at the Galactic Guardians.

That was a good premonition as I am leaving the alliance too... But this was a premeditated move with Aldebert. But I don't know whether anybody will join us after me...

It was great being part of the European alliance for a time...

Well, good luck with your splinter empire. I wish you a sucessful future.

Pomarje made it to 29th rank and, most of all, must be the most efficient empire in terms of score per battle (except maybe some 1-battle empires) !

Man, 8 games and over 100,000 points! That would be like Lothmorg making his own empire.

I would try to talk them into it. Besides... the Jedi Republic is in striking distance now.

Aldebert,

Good luck from the CSF. Stop by for snacks some time.

A shake-up once in a while is good. Most of the current major empires have been through at least one period of mass defections. Anyway, time to add another empire to the old Spymaster watch list. (Gerakken discreetly but hastily plants a few bugs.) Let's see what you got, Pomarje.

(This has been Gerakken's traditional empire thread crash.)

Thanks to everybody for your wishes and support

Pomarje is only a small duchy at the fringe of the galaxy and has no conquest ambition.
We will only try to keep our title of "most efficient empire in terms of score per battle" and maybe, one day reach the top 25.

AHA!!!! See Wombat. I knew sending "Emma" and "When Harry Met Sally" to the Europeans would lower their morale. We have a splinter Euro group now!!!!!!

oh, this splinter group is really unlikely to grow very much... and it's defection doesn't really affect the European Alliance score...

It may not effect their points a lot... but it effects it enough for the Jedi to be in 3rd place.

That is, untill we ship the complete Sylvester Stalone catalog over to the European Alliance and further lower their morale.

No please... not that! I'm not even in the European Alliance, I just leave here!

No offence, but on the basis of European news that gets to Australia, I always had the opinion that in Europe, splinter groups are a way of life!
