The Diplomats have been given the responsibility for the gal civ writer, we have a new beta v.1.4.0, we are looking for beta testers up to 20 from here and up to 20 at our main forum, if your intersested please post here you would like to beta test as well as under what name you would like to be given credit for testing, then email me at galcivwriter@yahoo.com Email, put the words "Beta Test" in the subject line (without the quotes), we would like all beta testers to take screen captures (a picture of the error just the box please not your whole desktop, make sure it's readable) for errors they encounter, if you don't have any screen capture software, please go here to get it: http://www.snapfiles.com/download/dlhoversnap.html Link ,you must REMOVE THE OLD GALCIV WRITER ON YOUR COMPUTER if you have it, finally before you start up gal civ writer after installation you MUST make sure to go to start>run and enter this into the box: regsvr32.exe "C:\Program Files\GalCiv Writer\gvbox.ocx" (enter it exactly as you see with the quotations)
then click okay
or you will end up getting tons of errors, that we are aware of and give us many many useless error reports, please send all error reports to the same email listed above with the words Beta Test in the subject line (record all error reports on note pad, save them in .txt, or use something else and save them in rtf format, thank you for your cooperation, email any questions to that very same email.

PS: you will need .net framework 1.1 if you don't already have it go here to get it http://tinyurl.com/95zt Link

.ini is what those are i could be mistaken but i beleive they are all .ini's that have differen't extensions to help differentiate them, i could have sworn i seen a post in the mod section explaining how to mod galciv before the writer came about saying very clearly you have to modify the .ini's, and a lot of other modding i've scene done for other games is done through the .ini's i myself have done that but i'll ask slothrop to get it correct

They use Carrara 3D an Amapi to do 3D graphics.

Can you explain how you might envision 3D designs fitting into Galciv Writer?

To replace the gfx graphics and maybe for the creation of ships.

Also you can create with this program animations for the game, movies for the scenes of blowing a planet, or trade, colonization and talking with your AI friends or foes.

okay guys read my starting post carefully, i have 3 requests for it thus far and only one email on it, it's sort of hard to send it too you if i don't have a place to send it *sigh*

and i've decided to change the send out to every afternoon (my afternoon) so that gives those who signed up without sending me an email about 4-5 hours to send me one before they go out today

then again tester turnout is so low i may end up just sending them out as they come, but not if the number of tester requests increase (if that's possible)

EE, If you come up short on beta testers, I may take it out for a test spin. I may not do a lot with it, but at least I can install it and maybe play around with it a little. I'll send you my email via SH PM.
