As far as I can tell, there is just you and one other person alive in the New Texas Republic. That person is RobfoMaaus, from the statbot data. You can see for yourself at Link and that person had not submitted games for two months before just recently.
Sorry, but it doesn't seem to be much activity in the New Texas Republic.
We of the Diplomats have an active members policy. Come check us out at Link

Is anyone in charge of the "New Texas Republic" Empire? |
|
Not at the moment. Unfortunately, the only senator (empire administrator) is inactive. Right now this thread appears to be only empire-related thing for NTR.
I'd stay put for a month or so to see if any other members are lurking the forums.
In the mean time, feel free to visit the other empires' threads in this forum. We don't "bite" much!

Dude, you're playing on Masochistic. No-one's going to call you a newb.
We'd be glad to have you in the Fellowship ( Link), but the other empires are good too.

You can also check out the Diplomat's forum. Lots of great info there. Link
Feel free to ask away, everyone around will try to help as they can.

Here is one more link you may find interesting,

Also, since you mentioned the Statbot being interesting, here is the main one, I think I directed you to a alternative one we use to show pure scores. Here is one for the whole Top 25, active or not. Link
Since you are playing 1.2, you will need to play Gigantic Maso to get a shot even at a 60K perfect game, and win by military conquest. Altarian Prophecy gives far better points, besides adding two new races, and giving a map editor. On AP, you can play a Huge/Alliance/Maso and get 60K readily.
I can state quite truthfully that the help and support section of the Senate Halls, run by my good friend Peace Phoenix, has quite a lot of good information. I would recommend you checking it out.
As for your empire, just be happy. That, and Playing For Fun, that is what matters. I am quite happy.

The extent of my scoring knowledge:
Things like 'economy score' and 'military score' are irrelevant to metaverse points.
The bigger the galaxy, the more points you get. (Number of habitable stars in the galaxy doesn't make much difference.)
The harder the difficulty level, the more points you get. Difficulty is higher with harder opponents, or with more opponents. (It's not really more difficult with more opponents - easier if anything - but the game thinks it's harder.) The reason Altarian Prophecy players score more is that they can have up to seven opponents.
Winning before the year 2190 gives you a 50% score penalty.
You tend to score a bit more for playing longer, researching more techs, and building wonders, but it's not really that important.
Military victory scores the most. Alliance scores an OK amount. Culture wins score poorly. Tech wins are even worse. Note that if you switch off cultural victory and conquer the entire galaxy with culture, it counts as a military victory.
| |
|
Another side note: If you switch off the tech win option, you can research all of the way up and not have to worry about the game ending.
Also, more evil civs net more points, because of the added problem of them demanding money and just generally being annoying. Setting up a good vs. evil game is fun.

Hey Mr. Nuts.
Where about in Texas do you call home? Greldon and I are both in Austin.

The scoring system is the mystery of the Meta. We've got a good part of it down, but the base formula remains quite unknown.
And I'm sorry, I didn't mean to turn this into a recruitment thread.
If you have any other questions, you will find the people here quite willing to help.

Aww Nuts,
It's players like you that make empires successful! People who want to participate are the most important people here.
