Netscape has a composer with a spellchecker.

Oh, I love the stories.

Anyone know of an add-in for those of us stuck with MotherShip tech?

I doubt IE can be that useful.

I thought you liked my storys

I'm sorry if my incredibly offensive post caused you any offence.
Your stories are inspirational enough that I was still using elements of the plot you set up as Smeagol-O in the dramatic conclusion to 'The Epic of Downie'. However, I'm one of those people whose eyeballs start twitching madly every time they see a word spelt wrong or an incorrect apostrophe. I've asked my doctor if there are any pills he can give me, but apparently it's incurable. I probably shouldn't be on the internet, where you're lucky if one word in three is spelt correctly. (But as I don't have any friends in real life, I have to make do with what entertainment I can find.)

I write all my stories in Word, spellcheck them, and read them through twice before copy-pasting them in here (while resenting my inability to do proper tabs or italics). I don't expect others to do the same - it's just one of the techniques I use while trying to be better at this than everyone else. Heck, I'm the kind of person who spells Théoden with the correct Tolkienesque accent and who makes sure all the Elvish words I invent are based on real Eldarin word-roots, even though none of my readers are ever going to check. It's not something I'm proud of. It's a compulsion.

So you think. You must forget my geek rating.

That's a load of rochwing and you know it!

OK I've got both... but theres still no guarantee that my spelling is going to be correct .. reasons being

1. Dictionaries may be incorrect
2. I'm an Australian and here we (try to) use the Queens English.. not phonetic spelling (although phonetic spelling is creeping into our Dictionaries)
3. They don't check spelling automatically.. I have to remember to press that button and my memory isn't as good as it used to be..

(after running the IESpell on this message I had 3 mistakes )

I must say, your command of the Elvin tongue is impressive, or just made up. Either way, the closest I could come up with was Horse something. Although the literal translation does not make any sense to me.

Now Downie,

You shouldn't be trying to incite treachery in the Guardians...that's just not nice.

Perhaps if we declared a little war against the Fellowship like we did with the Yor...

Hmmmmmm.....

#92  by Citizen Lothmorg the Black - 6/2/2004 2:56:30 PM

Now Theoden,

You shouldn't rile him up like that. We don't want him to get all depressed again. Took him 5 months to break out of the last bout of it.

I wouldn't worry. I've been trying for the last three months without any success.

The literal translation is either 'horse-spray' or 'horse-foam'. You can make up your own mind about the figurative meaning.

I do believe it's an impossibility, or at least so improbable that it could fuel the Infinite Improbablility Drive developed by the Galactic Guardian's research team on Damogran.

That's what I came up with, but as I said. It doesn't make sense to me.

Well, trust me when I say you don't want to get any on you.
