OK playing them was always fun and its a shame there are no more, so:

Anyone here interested in a succession game?

Conditions like this:
-Version 1.2 (or if all players have it AP)
-I'd like to set something up (say up to 6 players a team). Maybe with Alignment teams
-Each team playing with the same map (provided by one of us)
-And an assorted set of mods (we would need to chose)
-One Year per player
-Last player would be allowed to submit the game

Of cause we would need somebody providing a forum section were we could post our moves (Maybe here or at the diplomats), of caus a place were we could post screenshots would be better.

I believe each game has the SN embedded into it to prevent game "sharing". So, no submissions.

I might be interested. But try and get someone incompetent on board, to make it more of a challenge for us jaded Maso players.

Wow. News to me. Does that mean I can start selling my games to the highest bidder?

At least that would be a chance for us to be able to keep up with you

Not until July

After July I'll take Game, payment 1 Altarian Slave girl each game! You'll have a harem in a day!

Wow. News to me.

Yeah, right. Everyone knows you've been submitting other people's games for months. It's the only sane explanation for your level of output.

I'd like to be in on this. And if you want to make a very hard maso games, there are two ways according to my strategy: Limit bribes and limit trade.

Oh, and for mods, I say Icho's pack, and Nidaros' pack, and Nand1's sets.

That sounds good, VoT. and of cause it should be military vic only. So we avoid the alliance "glinch"

I would have to get Nidarons stuff and could you be more specific about Nands stuff, there is lot of that

#13  by Veteran Grand_Admiral_Thrawn - 6/2/2004 1:35:15 PM

I was referring to Nand's Good/Evil pack. Pretty fun stuff in there.

And yes, I guess we could do a military vic only, that would work with the alliance. Also, what about terror stars?

But on the Senate Halls thread, I just asked MD, and I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem, we created the place for stuff like this.

I don't think "sane" has anything to do with my output level.

I'd say we allow TSs.
The G/E pack is indeed great.

And i would have to make sure the "Omega Project" won't get acidentally into that game

How about making the game really hard. Most of the good MASO players can pretty much beat MASO on a map larger than MEDIUM.

Set up the game by eliminating trade, diplomacy and social picks. Make the map no bigger than medium, Maso. No bribes allowed. The win has to be Military and all AI major and Minor must be defeated.

How about no culture flipping allowed, You can only build culture to protect your systems.

I would love to see that game played out.

At the end of the game a nice strategy FAQ walkthru should be posted in the strategy forum.

Isn't that how everyone wins?

I am psychologically incapable of playing this game without trading techs.

Seconded

#22  by Citizen Matthew Downie - 6/2/2004 2:19:58 PM

...although I can accept limitations like not using any picks at the start of the game - that doesn't require any willpower to keep up.

#23  by Veteran Icho Tolot - 6/2/2004 2:41:15 PM

maybe we can set another game for those of us wo are not playing the masoverse too

#24  by Citizen Matthew Downie - 6/2/2004 3:18:28 PM

Only if there are lots of them wanting to join in. Otherwise, it might be quite interesting to have a player who doesn't normally do it to play just part of a maso game along with some experts.
