I think that I like the one you had last night. But this may grow on me.

Lay off our logo, Guardians! However, in the spirit of compromise, we'll allow you to execute Asimov's Bicentennial Man as portrayed by Robin Williams.

Hey Tech, I will keep on saluting whatever logo/flag you run up the flagpole but if it looks like a pair of drawers I will have to reconsider. |

I will have to agree with my esteemed colleague Aww Nuts. The drawers might ride up and expose ...

Wow. Got a whole 1363 for a near 60k submission today. Not very much, but enough for a return to 5th place only because Jackey Jackey has retired for now. The meta gave me no credit for a game number (it stayed at 198) but is registered on the scorecard with the correct date and score so I guess that's OK. Pretty soon I should get 200 games and that 5th gold bar. .
So what is the best way to work the meta? I used to try to submit at least 1 game every 7 or 8 days or at least 2 every 15 days. It looks like even a gap of a week can slow down the meta pace. I also have some games from June 2003 and don't know if they ever decay down to zero. Anyone know this stuff?

Peace Phoenix is the man to ask about this stuff.

Peace Phoenix likely knows more about the Metaverse than stardock. |

Not sure, since it seems that I have a nearly correct formula. I think I haven't the correct rounding rule. but I generally get the correct metaverse score with an error lesser than 1%.
Not to long ago he posted a detail overview of the best way to advance through the metaverse. |

Are you referring to this thread Link

That is strange, I am unable to get this variation from your history. I get, compared to score on the 9/21/4, +4K for submitting one game on the 9/22/04 and +13K for sumbitting two games. I calculate a total score of 1547K, when the metaverse credits you with a score of 1543K

Having a steady submission rate. It avoids rollcoaster effect due to block that became empty.
I used to try to submit at least 1 game every 7 or 8 days or at least 2 every 15 days. |
|
Well, it is no longer the case: I see 13 games in the last 30 days and 18 games in the previous 30-day period.
The link I have mentionned before show you what you can expect for metaverse score based on a specific submission rate.
Don't forget the 5% aging per block. It can be a real killer since it means that you need submission just to compensate the aging effect.
I also have some games from June 2003 and don't know if they ever decay down to zero |
|
With the formula I used, they don't decay down to zero. The suffer a 35% aging and are all saved in the
last block. Which means that their influence is weakened due to the fact that all games will end in this block.

Play lots and lots of 60K games really quickly, of course.
And avoid leaving any really long gaps.
