Weyr is up for termination via Icho. Krazy and I double covered him last night (fast and Krazy he is ). I will try to get a game in. Try to match me with 3-10 of your own today.

Aww Nuts,

I responded to your "Diplomat Email" very slow, the server is at a crawl.

So,

I have one objective playing GC is to have fun, and I want everybody else to have a good time.

I personally do not care if a player plays simple or maso , 3 games a day or one a month. Just play the game a have fun.

Now I know so people will be bitter that I am a cranking machine, so when I can I will always tell people why and how and crank out masos. Telling people my motivation by at no means am I suggesting they want to play the same way.

Now I scan our threads when I can several times a day, I may miss posts else where

Now back to regular programming

Well said Tech. The object should always be to have fun.

I agree the objective should always be for fun! I always have fun killing all the aliens in the galaxy, in fact I always try and get military victories, and for me thats fun! Having them come to me begging me to let them live, pleading for a peace treaty, taking everything they own and worked hard for in change for peace then I turn on them again and deal the final blow after I've drained every last tech, influence, and trade good I can out of them. Yes I definetly have fun!!! ( If you couldn't tell already I'm pretty evil! )

Next you'll be agreeing with us, that the only good Yor, is a dead Yor.

#808  by Diplomat Technician - 10/20/2004 12:59:39 PM

We have always agreed with the concept Yor are sub-human.

The difference is we see Yor as machines which can be repaired and reprogrammed.

#809  by Citizen Evil Druid - 10/20/2004 1:11:43 PM

Poor Tech, you believe you can use your tools as a technician to fix anything. You can try to reprogram a Yor, take Roy for instance, Roy was yor happy servant running yor errands and then what happens? Evil Roy. It's built into there source code and hardware. One day you, up start empires, will realize the error of yor ways, and see the wisdom of the Guardian way.

ED, once again your logic is slightly flawed.

Roy is doing exactly what he was programmed for. Even though he is evil he is happily serving the Foundation and its members as programmed. We built a deep dislike and distrust of anything feline so that is basically where the evil part resides. If you have noticed there is a very definate decline in the feline population around each Empires Home Base to point where you might think that all the cats are extinct. Don't worry though it will take a few more months before they are extinct.

John, if you and your brother would like some more game hints I posted a walkthru and tips in the starfleet forum message #810 http://www.galciv.com/forum.asp?BID=GE&id=132371#192346 Link

I have a simple "to each their own" philosophy. I couldn't enjoy it's benefits myself, otherwise.

John, Your story kinda brings a tear to my eye. I look at it somewhat similarly. I keep score of demands the AIs make as they throw their military might around (early game maso). Later when the tables are turned I offer them a more outrageous deal with a peace treaty. Usually, they refuse and I take em out.

Hey Newfy thanks for the tips, but I was just wondering: How come you directed the message to me and my bro only? Is it because we're the least talented players in the Foundation? I'm probably mistaken but I am curious.

Is that a good tear brought to your eye, or have I offened you? It is kinda fun beating up the other civs when they don't do what you want them too, but most of the time I don't even give them a chance!

#817  by Citizen Aww_Nuts - 10/20/2004 5:08:13 PM

It was a good tear. I start a game like I do anything, with relations set to 0. I then follow the Golden Rule (somewhat modified)and treat the AIs the way they treat me. If you do this then no one can argue with your actions as it is analogous to them arguing with themselves.

Ok thats good Aww Nuts, I try my best not to offend anyone. As it is so well put, and worth remebering: "Do unto others as you would want them to do to you."

#819  by Citizen Termil - 10/20/2004 5:30:04 PM

In this game it's more of "Do unto others before they do unto you". In the words of some not so famous alien leader. "We'd rather deal with you now than have you deal with us later"(or something like that.

I try my best not to offend anyone

Don't worry about offending anyone too much. I'm new to posting myself but these guys are here to share a common interest, one we all enjoy, and don't get their feelings hurt easily.

Termil, I have faith in this as well. There is a bit of a "wheels within wheels" thing going on. I am sorry I can't say more but it is moving quickly out of my hands i.e. "Let go and let God". It's not a bad thing but some might view it that way.

Ok guys I know I won't offend anyone easily, but I do be careful, but I guess thats just how I am.

I don't understand exactly what you mean Aww Nuts, could you clear it up a little?

I can't say more

If I did it might change the outcome. One of my highest principles is the protection of people's free will. Who am I to say what is best or worst for someone else. I am not one to interfere with Another's plans.
