Umm the whole diplomats-empire.com seems to be down. I can't get in to the domain at all. Plus I don't have Mace's email outside the embassy saved. Can someone fire him an eamil at his yahoo account?

Just got back from an unintentional skin diving holiday in Phuket.

Thought I would drop by and say hello. Hello.

What exactly are you meaning? Was it possible that we could have lost our marquesa forever ....

BTW, have you looked at the new embassy http://www.diplomats-empire.com/new-embassy Link ?
There are lots of activities and things to do ...

You don't get rid of me that easy.

My husband and I were glad that we were both comfortable in rough water.
We were getting our dose of skin cancer, when there was a commotion around us. We looked up in time to be 'dumped'on by a three metre breaking wave.
We were carried along by the wave, up the short beach, through some palm trees, where I think I banged the back of my neck on a trunk.
The water subsided and my feet touched bottom, then it rose rapidly again and we were swept along with a lot of debris.
It was all very exciting.
The worst part was when the water started to run out to sea again. We were carried about 200 metres off shore. A third wave then helped us back to shore.

I do feel guilty, I made no attempt to help anybody.

That does sound rather exciting. Good to hear that you are safe.

Thanks Littlewotts.
I didn't get off scott free.
I have two fractured cervical vertebrae, which are causing pain, numbness, and pins and needles in my left arm.
The back of my legs are bruised and cut, as are my feet. I think I got hit on the back of my legs by a two stroke motor bike, also being swept along.
We both have a collection of superficial, but suitably impressive array of cuts and bruises.
Hubby has a lung infection through breathing in dirty water.
We were lucky and the RAAF took us out of there the next day in a Hercules.
The locals had nothing to start with and they cannot leave, or even get a drink of water. It was 24 hours before we did and then it was from the air force boys.
