Oooooh!!! I took 200 that means I became a target???

@ Krazyhorse I got that part about Sacred grass.

Regarding previous posts

The game should stay! Everyone should simply relax and think about it and realise it is only a forum game. Mace created it to get the forum traffic flowing & for our general entertainment.

Now where is the respect and gratitude that should be given too Mace for using his own personal time and energy coming up with this game idea?

Comlicated rules yes

Which rules? The current ones for issuing a contract (see Post #170) or some proposed ones (like involving the guardians)?

Hmmm...its gotten way to serious here!
I think I'll stick to my own empire thread for awhile and the other forums. When everyone decides to play nice, I'll be back.

#205  by Diplomat Peace Phoenix - 10/22/2004 11:48:59 PM

Hey Aww Nuts? Are you serious or are you going nuts ?

If you are serious, I don't understand the reason of your posts in this thread. But there is an nice thread about politics at the embassy.

#206  by Diplomat Peace Phoenix - 10/22/2004 11:52:07 PM

This game should be terminated. At least 2 out of the 3 targets agree.

Sorry, I don't understand how the count is made: Aww nuts, Icho tolot, JT Qwerk and Weyrleader were targeted. That made 4. I don't remember the posts made by a target stating that the game must end.

#207  by Citizen Evil Druid - 10/23/2004 12:12:21 AM

Forgot about Qwerk, sorry. I think if only one person is offended and leaves the forums, then it is not worth it. I was totally on side with this game. I don't understand the negative feelings it has generated but I respect the feelings of the people who appear to have been hurt by this. At least 2 out of 4 targets agree.

Sorry, I think complicated rules are games like Star Fleet Battles.

Anyway, since there seems to be some negative feelings toward the game, just let it be. It could have been fun playing "cops and robbers", but loosing forum participation is just not worth it, and probably the opposite of what Mace had in mind.

Why must every thing always become a political debate ?

Fine you may not agree with the ethics of this game, and that is your right. However we will not stop this game just because it doesnt sit right with your view of things. look at the title it says ..for fun!!! Do you remember what that is? The game stays but i suggest you dont if you cant accept that people can have some fun. Would look a tab stupid if we crept up on people and said... boo you're born!

This is not the time or place for your views. Kindly keep them to yourself and allow the rest of the gamers here to carry on playing something that they find enjoyable. Plus how exactly do you justify playing Galciv. Races there get wiped out too dont they?

You want to carry this on then email me and dont fill this forum with this political debate.

Thanks

~~Mace

Agree. but I haven't really seen any remarks about my proposals to allow the target to become a hunter if they were participating enough as target (by actively eluding neutralization or by being neutralized a fex times).

#211  by Veteran Primipilus Alexus - 10/23/2004 5:30:17 AM

Why not put up an IBH "opt out" thread - anyone who doesn't want to participate can comment to that thread and any contract against anyone in there is automatically void!

Alex

That is what has been proposed and i agree with. Any member of the board who does not agree with the games principles or simply does not want to take part can opt out at any time. we will hold a list in the embassy of those people so we can instantly refuse a contract if their name comes up.

we understand that this game may not appeal to everyone but refuse to simply abandon this game just because one person has an issue with it.

Great Mace! Why it does not appeal to everyone is rather confusing. I am glad it will stay, though maybe when I am a target I will not feel the same way. (joke of course!)

Would anybody care to name the next 'target' for us ?

#215  by Diplomat Technician - 10/23/2004 5:54:13 PM

Contract issued on "damoose" - 50 Points.

Could use some moose meat

#216  by Senator Drengin - 10/23/2004 6:35:57 PM

Under current rules & regs. Damoose now has 24Hours to opt-out of the game. If we do not hear from him within this time we will happily accept the contract.

The 24 hour period begin when contract is issued. So we will wait until 10/24/2004 5:54:13 PM before starting the hunt.

I am glad that we have switched for termination to neutralization. I am not sure if we can terminate an undead.

Well in my case it would not matter... Dead is dead as they say.

As for neutralization... I believe you'll find walls full of UnDead Moose heads all over the 'verse... Usually drooling waiting for some unsuspecting snack to wander by...

By the way... I didn't see any rules about the hunters becoming the hunted...

And just to make is fair... rule #3: if the hunter turns in to the hunted the game begins right then.

There are no rules for snacks or snackies if you prefer that term. It is always open season on snacks!

And seeing as I'm here... Peace... That butt cheek is looking mighty juciey... mmmmm.... CHOMP! Here's a bandage... You can ask LW what else needs to be done to recover. I also invite to the next SA meeting.

LUNCH!

I caution you all to ensure that it is in fact me you are dealing with... You do not want to get the Mrs. upset... the consequences are too horible to contemplate.

If i understand your proposed rule mr moose. You think that the hunted should name one IBH member as his intended 'snack' (target). If the targeted person neutralizes the named IBH member they get the points.??

I love the idea as it gives the named target the chance to evade the 'hit' and maybe get some points for themselves.

Now that sounds like a nice addition, moose

#221  by Senator Drengin - 10/24/2004 5:31:55 PM

Contract issued on "damoose" - 50 Points.

24hr time period elapsed - Contract accepted

72 hour time period for contract now started

I haven't been following too closely, forgive me if this is obvious...

If a contract is issued... Is it only the IBH member proposing the contract that can 'netralize' the target? If so then your understanding of the 'rule' is correct.

If any IBH member can attempt to nutralize the target... then then IBH member can be a snack... er a counter-target.

And yes the whole point was to give the IBH designated target a chance to evade. I hadn't actually thought about the points per se... but that would be difficult to work I think. There's only one target yet multiple IBHs. It would need to be 'team' based I think. IBH agaist Targets.

Comments?

Edit: Humm I see that it was actually Tech that proposed the contract. I guess the 'team' theng will not work then and it's every Moose for himself...

By the way... I have to tell you that Tech's very tender...

LUNCH!
