Same problem as well. 2 AP codes. E-mailed tech support but it looks like that's a 9-5 M-F deal. No joy for me this weekend.
Given the number of posts here, I think it may be time for the "sticker guy" to look for another line of work.

Same deal here (Northern Cali). Bought the game at the store, have two labels on the back of the jewel case, and neither of them work.
I've tried lots of upper/lowercase and numeral vs. lettter combos. I think they had a mess up with their numbering scheme. Perhaps the person sticking the labels might have been--um--distracted or given bad instructions (happens).

i have the same problem. i bought the deluxe pack today and tried to install it on my comp. But they put two AP keycodes on the back. so i was fustrated thinking i have to drive back and return my copy then i had a idea. change the initials of the AP to GC
just change the frist keycode. add GC1 in-place of the AP1 code. And it worked. hope this solves your guys problems

Thanks to Ajent0 worked like a champ!! apparantly it isn't the guy labeling having a problem but the guy putting in the codes to print!!!
change the AP to GC and it works fine.. for those who got it on 1 disk if prompted for a reg code for AP you might try useing the same code and putting AP in for the GC

Thanks for the tip - worked great for getting the game installed. I had the "two Altarian Prophecy keycode" problem. Now I'd like to patch it.. I tried using the code I used to install Gal Civ (replaced the AP1 with GC1 per a previous post), but the silly web page tells me I used the wrong serial number.
I installed that stardock central app, which is very happy to recognize the Altarian Prophecy install - but it won't acknowledge the serial number I used for Galacitic Civ - thus I cannot install the update..
Help?

Hi,
having exact same problem. Bought the Deluxe Edition and it had two Altarian Propecy codes, no GC codes. I changed the letters in the middle of one of them from AP1 to GC1 as per advice on this forum, which allowed me to load GC, which I can play by itself, but now... drumroll... I cant download the Galactic Civ patch to make Altarian Prophecy work. When I go to download the patch, which it sounds like Stardock will only let you get from this website, it keeps saying invalid GC 'serial number' (sure they mean 'keycode' but inconsistant use of terms). Emails to tech support and customer support haven't yielded any help... What a mess
I love turn based strat, like the Civ Series and MOO2, and this game looks promising, but this keycode stuff is ridiculous. I know its a small gaming market but come on...

You don't need AP to fully enjoy the game. In fact, I play GC more than I play AP.

Was there every any official word on this problem? I've just purchased the Deluxe edition, and neither of my two keys work with Stardock Central. I've tried swapping them around, changing GC1 to AP1 etc, and nothing works. I've also e-mailed Stardock twice, and nobody has responded within the 48h limit that they set themselves. I'm starting to lose patience with Stardock; what kind of a company requires an e-mail for updates anyway? If they're going to take my e-mail address they least they could do is respond to it when I send them a message.

This wasn't the trick. For me it was simply use the GC serial for AP as described in this thread. Did you double check spelling like 1 and l and 0 and O and upper vers. lower case etc.?
Stardock is a small firm and currently a little bit under water due to the GC2 launch.
IMHO they do their very best to help their customers in all aspects. It's a great firm but they are still human beings.
Try to send another mail and describe your problem in short and friendly words. Up to now more or less everybody who did that got an helpfull answer in a timely manner.

Stardock is the first company ever I registered a software. I prefere their system to others. There is no copy protection/CD lock whatsoever and when I loose my CD I can simply download everything I need even after years.

I've got the same problem: GC1 serial number for the Deluxe edition. Just e-mailed Stardock, hope they can find the time to reply.
Walldorf2000, I agree with you. Stardock are a great firm and the only people I have come across who will actually try and help you out when you get a problem with your software.

Same, got Galactic Civilizations Gold and only got a CD key for the original. Tried the advice in the thread. I have no way of scanning in or photographing evidence so i guess I'm stuffed.
