Is it possible to change alignment requirement for Paladin Ships?

If so, how do I go about doing this?

I like to play Small maps at Crippling difficulty, and often win before any events come up that allow me to change my alignment to good so that I can build Paladins.

I would like to set alignment requirement to 50 so I can build this neat ship.

Go in to the data directory open each of the .ship files in notepad until you find the one with the paladin. Change the aliginment to the value you want and save the file in the mods\data directory.

Start a game.
