That actually shouldn't work anymore if you have the latest version for planetary random events. As for the others, there never was a way to increase the frequency of random events.
I was unaware that there is a way to abandon a planet. Could someone tell me how?
I had always thought that if you wrecked a planet's PQ by using a tactic to conquer it, you would be left with a planet with low morale, low production, and a continuing drain on your cash flow.
As a result, the only tactic I've ever used is the tidal wave one. If I could rid myself of the world after conquering it, I'd much rather go for the tactic having the most impact on the enemy forces.
@CrusherX7: You can destroy your own colony. There is a button on the planet screen.
@KSesler: What you can do is to colonize low PQ planets. When I have terraforming wonder etc. I frequently colonize even PQ 12 planets (they need to get them at last to PQ 15, otherwise you have this 5BC panelty per month).
But when it is near the end and I need some events, I even colonize lower planets to get the saintly morality.
I have installed the saints and sinners mod to reach my goal faster. But I didn't remove the original events but added them to the mod folder. Thus I get them mixed randomly.
