English download with German Key?

Hi,

i am thinking of buying GalCiv and wanted to know if i could download the english version of the game when i register my german key. As the expansion pack's synchronization is said to be horrible, that would be kinda important to me.

That's not a problem. You can register and download with your serial. You don't need the CD at all.

I'm registered with a german key as well. Is it possible to download the game without stardock central?
May I ask how?

Hi Lino,

unfortunately I don't know. Definitely you can't get the newest patches without Stardock Central.

But you can download it via Stardock Central on any computer and transfer it to another without internet connection via the build in archive funtction. Thus if you have a friend with a flat rate he could do it for you. Then install Stardock Central on your target computer and install from the archive.

Did you see the German data files in the sticky thread from above? There is a new version for 1.22. After installation and archiving sinply replace the complete GalCiv\Data folder with the content of the ZIP file and you have German texts.

For AP I created a small patch by myself. But only for the main screen and the ressource dialog. Not for the campaign etc.
